Cheers ---Dave oilman 11-10-2003, 05:55 AM 7 Cheers Oilman 18ME 11-10-2003, 06:06 AM Why Anil, has yours arrived at the dealers with more miles than you thought? morganrogers 11-10-2003, 06:08 AM 17 MAZ1986 11-10-2003, 07:20 AM 11 AnilS 11-10-2003, 08:37 AM 18ME, no car is due around the 15th Nov  . I only ask as when I brought my wife a new Yaris it had 57 miles on the clock, which I made sure they gave me some free accessories for. Seems between 1 and 50 is the norm. The fewer the better in my book. AnilS. druck 11-10-2003, 08:44 AM 1.5 ! rael 11-10-2003, 10:12 AM After receipt and preperation of the car the dealer needs to take it out for a trail and I therefore suggest 15 miles or so should be acceptable but if only 1.5 then he has tested nothing. rael Jon H 11-10-2003, 01:29 PM Mine had 2 on it. Is that the distance from the boat to customs? Makes me wonder what type of character was given the job of doing that. Specman - 44?? OMG? When you collected it, did it have an illuminated sign on top, a meter fitted to the dash and kebab wrappers on the back seat??? I'd have a word if I were you. mr_digital_uk 11-10-2003, 02:04 PM I would be really worried if 20 miles were on the clock ... it's not normal practise (as far as I know) for dealers to do more than a quick run round the block. More than this and as far as I am concerned the guys have been playing with MY car or taking customers out in it. grrrrrrrr specman 11-10-2003, 05:37 PM Originally posted by Jon H Mine had 2 on it. Delivered to wrong branch in error and driven the 42 miles down from there. Road is a slow one and littered with little nasty white vans too so there would have been little chance of abuse. Salesman promised me he didnt go above 4500rpm. Remember I am 6'4'' and 270lbs...... druck 11-10-2003, 09:14 PM Oops was so excited I read the big number on the top, not the bottom one. So mine actually had 4 whole miles on the clock. http://rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/files/djr_rx8_010s.jpg I've put on another 240 joy drenched miles today though :D Cheers ---Dave RobDickinson 11-11-2003, 03:39 AM Mine had 5 on. Now 350+, going up! |
