Anybody else playing the Undergound demo. I play under the same user name as here. Cool game, especially the online play. But there's some cheats floating around that makes it hard for non-cheaters(like me) to build there "Rep". You can download it from www.needforspeed.com

I've been playing, pretty fun, not online though, heard about the cheaters, full version will have rx-7 and miata, no 8, I play with a Microsoft Force Feedback wheel and use the paddles for shifting. The manual transmission is fun to play, great graphics.

Id just like to do a self plug for everyone to get a copy of this game :D . The RX-7 in the game was modeled after my FD, and all of the sound clips were recorded directly from my car as well. So unlike how the RX-7 in Fast furious had a V-8 sound to it, the FD in Need for Speed underground will sound exactly like a rotary. They mounted 3 microphones in my engine bay ( 1 infront of the intake, and 2 next to my BOV), 1 behind my exhaust and 1 next to my MP. I spent 5 hours doing all types of runs on a rented out airport field for me to basically do whatever I want to make the FD in the game sound as authentic as possible. Including 15 back to back runs from 0-140 mph, burnouts, powerslides, and lots of low speed runs to build enough boost to get some really nice sounds from my BOVs. I'm sure everyone should be happy with that aspect of the game, and if your a rotary fan and gamer, Id recommend checking out this game :) . And no Im not making any commission off the sales of this game, I was already paid for it :) . But I'd just like everyone to check it out for some of the work my car did in the game.

I'm going to definitely buy this game, will run the 7, thanx for the sounds, I was wondering if the sounds would be authentic, your FD looks great, it will be my car of choice when the full game comes out, that and the Skyline. It might be possible for someone to model an 8 for the game, but the sounds and handling won't be accurate.
Love video games and the look of this one seems to be the best graphics ever to cross the PC racing threshhold.
Again thanx for the sounds, I'm glad they put time into making the cars more authentic and not just a different body on the same cars.

Ok I actually talked to someone from black box/ EA sports, and they told me that in the final release of the video game, they had to make a few tweaks and changes to make the sound of all the cars in the video game "more agressive." So I am kinda dissapointed the real sound clips from my car will not sound exactly as it was recorded. I still have the sound clips they sent me, and will post them as soon as I can get them from my house, so we you can hear how it was supose to sound.l Hopefully they didnt change it too much however. Sorry for the misinformation, seems like it was a last minute change they had to do to make it more.... fast n furious :( . My apologizes.

Dude, if they did that they are seriously retarded. I hated the fast and crappy sounds from the movies and think anything your car does for real would have been awesome.

Does anyone else think the car models look squished in this game? That's what I pick up from the commercial and screenshots. The demo wouldn't load on my machine so I don't have anything else to go off of.

The cars looked a little floaty in the commercial too. But I'm usually a cockpit-view kind of guy anyway, so I haven't seen what that's like.

"Slidingwithstyle" on the main menu of the PC version, (I'm not sure if you can do that with consoles) is supposed to unlock drift physics in every mode. I have the PC version, bought it yesterday, early B-day present, just had it installed and designed my FD, graphics look great, no squishing, my specs are Athlon 2100, 1GB Ram, Gainward FX 5600 Ultra w/flip chip, Audigy 2, Asus Motherboard 333 FSB.

I run it at 1280x1024 res, turn off motion blur and light glow (don't like the way it looks, except on drag), crank everything else up, looks so smooth. Also much fun with Micro$oft Sidewinder FFB wheel and pedals.

I just got it for xbox, I haven't had a chance to play it much yet but its really cool from what I've seen.

As you progress in the game you unlock the ability to purchase aftermarket parts with the money you win in the different types of races. What I really like is the parts are all name brand aftermarket companies, Enkei/Konig/BBS rims, Neuspeed/Greddy parts etc. to only name a few of the manufacturers in this game.

I like it alot, two thumbs up!
