I drove my car down to Pettit last Friday for a dyno-tune and reflash for a new MAF housing. Car is running even better than before (which says a lot).

Thanks to the "Dude" for the demonstration of his product's capabilities, and to Pettit for letting us use their Dyno. Also getting to hang out with not one but two people as pleasantly knowledgeable as Bill and Cam (two genuine racecar drivers, although Bill would probably say just one) made the experience even more memorable.

We had a great time:

Sweet. They are pretty cool bunch.

What was your car puttin down on the dyno after the tune? Just curious

It only made 283 at ~8400 rpm. I think it would have hit 300 (or close) if we went all the way to 9k rpm, but we were planning on doing so many pulls that day we felt it better to back off. Eventually I'm going to go catless which should give me a few more... and there's always stage III (but I'm 99% sure I won't bother, I'm extremely happy with my car the way it is).

Juan did better with his car, but I'll let him talk about his own results.

ONLY???? Those are good numbers man. I would be fine and dandy with a supercharged 8 pushing that much to the wheels, good shit. I can only imagine how good the car feels. You prob cant even imagine what it would be like to go back to N/A now that you have gotten use to the SC. Im jealous

Now that I think about it I haven't ridden in a NA Rx-8 in almost a year. Last one was mine, almost a year ago. Dropped the car off on 5/4/2007, picked it up 5/11/2007. Would have been my best day in May if my son had actually been born when he was supposed to (7/2/2007) instead of 5/30/2007.

8500 miles later and the car is still running strong. I'm about to go on a 2500 mile trip with it, I'll probably start a thread about it in the multimedia forum.
