I have been a faithful subscriber to Car and Driver for 25 years without a break in service and I find this magazine to be right on the money on a lot of subjects. They seem to be biased toward BMW's but I tend to look past that!

My favourite car magazines:

1. EVO (from the UK)
2. CAR (from the UK)

(both of those aren't afraid to say when a crap car is crap! Kind of like Car and Driver was 10 years ago in that respect...)

3. Road & Track
4. Car and Driver
5. Grassroots Motorsports
6. Automobile
7. Top Gear (from the UK)
8. Autoweek
and more

Please note that Motor Trend doesn't figure anywhere on the list, even if I were to continue to #20! It's just a plain pathetic excuse for a magazine, and their tests, results, analysis, and ESPECIALLY their so-called Car of the Year awards are a complete joke.

Regards,
Gordon

I'm moving this to the lounge, since it isn't related to the RX-8.

Well for Rotary Tuning there is the new RX Tuner Magazine that some people on this board is putting together. Check the banner for advertisement.

Personally I suscribe to Sport Compact Car and Car and Driver. I used to suscribe to R&T and Motor Trend. There is a reason why I kept just SCC and C&D.

I've recieved super street for five years and love it.
But its all highly modified import cars.

I like Car and Driver and Automobile mags. I get Road and Track too. Gee, weird for a female to get 3 car magazines at the same time?

i get R&T, which i think is THE best mag for car lovers. beautiful pix, wonderful editorials, very in-depth technical stuff, and i love the historical and racing stuff they also write about. for example, when they did the cover story of that '01 yellow RX-8 show car they also did a story on the original cosmo sport, and that was just plain wonderful. and those people just plain love cars. and, can't beat phil hill and paul frere, and even dan gurney, as occassional editors. plus, peter egan's writings are poetic

i used to get car & driver, i still like it

motor trend is the tabloid throwaway of car mags :p and i don't like automobile, imo it's newsweek photojournal of car mags, decent pictures and editing but not too much substance and editorials are weird. no offense :D

i'm waiting impatiently for RX tuner, the only rotary magazine. and i kinda want to get either super street or import racer. in japan they have tons of different magazines, some of them very car-specific. i wish we'd have those here

another vote for grassroots motorsports. it has good local racing info and car setups for autocross, focused more on the DIY crowd, getting older cars and racing them, eg, crx, miata, mini. completely different from the big name magazines that do new car reviews and future models. won't have much rotary specific info though.

i'd rather spend the money on parts for the car but i read just about all of them while at the local movie rental store.

The new MazdaSport Magazine has a nice representation of Rotary in it. If you want a sample copy email miatabb@aol.com with your name and mailing info and you will get a copy of the December issue.
