Looking at either a 6 or a TL, in respect to the 6, how does it hold up, I'm looking at a used 6 around 45K. Anyone have one also? Also does anyone know of parts that the 6 and 8 share, specifically wear and tear? Thanks, doing research here, the local 6 forum, and the mazda 6 forum.

I have a v6 mazda 6GT.........Its a great car. The car is pretty peppy. they share absoulutely no parts with the 8.....completely different cars. I like the v6, space, look, utility, and handleing of the car.....actually going to get the rb suspension setup for mine. Overall I can say the 6 is a great family sedan with a little punch.....I have no experiance with the TL so I can't comment on it. Its really my wifes car....wish she had of gotten the speed6...but oh well.

the only description of TL was from my friend. (it's too easy to speed on the highway) but he was driving a type S

Never driven either but I like the look of the 6 better. You test driven either of them?

I had a 2005 6i 5 door prior to the RX-8. Loved the car and would definitely get another if I had the need for a commuter car. Nothing broke, and I never had the car in for any warranty related items. Wear and tear items...nothing the same there.

the 6 fastback is a beautiful a car. When the 6 came out it was perhaps the best looking family sedan in its class. How does it compare to a TL? IMHO they are not the same segment from feature, trim and hp. Maybe MSP6 perhaps?
Comparing a 6 to an RX-8 is like comparing an Altima to a 350Z. :dunno:

Owned an RX8, own a 6. I have the Speed 6 of course, but it's basically an AWD higher hp version of a regular 6 really. Definitely not comparable. I compare my S2K to the RX8, and my 6 more to the lines of my friend's Altima 3.5. Either way, it's Mazda so why not compare I suppose. All great cars IMO. :)
