congrats I hope you get it. I got my first rotary and M/T this past January and I have to so I absloutely love it....kicking myself from driving an A/T for so many years, lol.

What color are you planning on getting?

just a few pointers...

rotaries are very very very demanding w/good (gas)
rotaries are very tempermental
don't flood the engine
don't grand-pa drive the 8.
be ginger w/the 8 during break in period (there seems to be debates about this)

Im not really decisive on the color. Im getting through wholesale at work $so im not to picky.. i did say no A/T :) If i could id love to have the red on red/black interior (dreaming) or the blue or grey. It dont matter though just as long as i get my 8!!!!

Welcome to the club

I have the Red with Red/Black interior with AT. AT has a little less HP, but it not that much less and is still fun to drive in manual mode with the paddle shifters. Once I upgraded my tires, wheels, and brakes, I run about equal to a stick on anything other than absolutely straight roads.

What options are you getting? Nice job that would hook you with a good car instead of some ugly GM garbage. The wife got a minivan from work some years back. I hated it so much, but was stuck with it for some time :banghead:

Congrats!

There are plenty of aftermarket shift knobs available. The voodoo knobs seem to be most popular, but a search for threads with 'knob' in the title should bring up a bunch.

There's also engraving options, too. Check out knobmeister.com - here's the link (http://www.knobmeister.com/KnobsMetal.htm) to their engraved metal ones.
