Got mine for 100 shipped. I LOVE IT. Sounds so freaking nice from the inside, had a friend redline it for me while I was outside, sounds amazing. The feeling at 7-9k feels like alot more pull too, unless its just a placebo lol. Overall, I love it. Grats Dom!

haha i wish the cai took that long =P i put all 4 coilovers on faster then i did my intake. It too me about an hour an 20 min for the coils and like 2 hours for the intake. That was also custom cutting the stock intake box to cover then intake though =]

oh ok. i assumed you bought it new. mine looks like that now. i have a little bit of motor oil in it now though from the blowby into the intake. time for an oil catch can and a recharge.

Man the rear coilovers are a PIA. Damn, when me and a buddy installed my springs took us like 15minuts to install the front and like 2hours for the rears. what a pain?

well we started with the rear since it was harder and it took us about 30 min. then we did the front and lowered it down and it was WAY to low, so we had to jack it back up and adj everything. we also went for a 20min drive when the car was about 2 inchs off the ground lol

Congrats man, looks nice, but I was wondering if there is a noticeable performance difference between your Typhoon and a K&N that goes into the OEM filter box. I mean the price difference is around $300 and I don't know if it's proportional with the overall performance.

I just sold mine to imput1234, and I kind of miss it. Sure, the big increase in volume and the different tone may not be for everyone, but I swear the car is more responsive with the Typhoon vs. drop in filter.

I'm well aware of the placebo effect from the extra noise, but after swapping back and forth a few times between stock intake and the Typhoon I noticed:

*Mid range throttle response seems to be a little bit better with the typhoon (accelerating in mid range throws you back into your seat more with the typhoon-this was pretty noticeable, but not a major difference.)
*High rpm does seem to pull a little harder.
*The car is REALLY quite with the stock intake, and REALLY loud w/ the typhoon-night and day difference. Even near redline the car is like a ghost after having the typhoon on there.
*Acceleration is smoother with the typhoon-you can't feel the ports opening as much.

If I wasn't selling my car I would have probably kept the intake and built a custom enclosure to keep heat out and some volume in, coupled with the RB duct this might be the most performance and cost effective intake. If I didn't have the RB duct I might be hesitant to run the Typhoon in the summer b/c of the heat soak issue, even with the duct I did notice some heat soak sluggishness after idling in hot weather.

I noticed absolutely no gain anywhere. No offense man, but I find it hard to believe that you could notice 3hp. I went back to the stock intake because of the heat soak issues (summers are hard here in the south) and warranty threats.

With that being said, it's your car and to each his own. To the OP, I'm glad you are enjoying your intake. I personally liked the look.
