Well guys, it's been a while since my last visit but I'm back with a new project. It's a wide bodied 8 with 22" wheels. the car is still far from finish but it's been a tradition that i would just post the step by step proccess here, so here's a couple of teaser pics.

Anything under the hood for performance, or stock?

22's look a bit big and heavy imo. Looks like you've def spent some time on your ride and you are making something that is a one of a kind...Congrats.

Keep it posted up...what color are you gonna go with in the end?

im not too fond of the look of the rims on that kit but the size is just wow.......the kit itself is sex...looks like a mix of veilside fortune, kenstyle, and knight sports.....this a one off or you plan on making a mold for this?......

The kit looks alright a bit fat but alteast you can tell there is a widebody kit on it. The R-magic one to me just doesnt give it that imediate sence of being fatter than stock when I see it in pictures atleast could be different in person I know. I'm not worried about your color choice since you always have good taste and its always over the top!

I hope/pray that there is going to be some type of power mod to the engine be it turbo or super charger now that would just set things off nicely imo.

Keep us updated, if you have any photo's of the install process we'd like to see 'em :)

Well it's been going under a very heavy mod and I assure u that it will look a lot better in the final stage. a lot cleaner than this.
Noticed a lot of new ideas been put in the design such as the door handles, they're not shaved but hidden under the top panels of the door. The top panels itself blends in with the front and rear fender so it'll give a more subtle look on the wide fenders.
Still considering a few options for the color scheme.

if i lived any where near you i can guarantee i would be one of your customers.....as for the mold you dont think you can mass market these world wide?....how many wide bodies are there?....with the right price point you could pull it off nicely

Well the kit itself looks absolutely awesome!....... but the wheels shouldn't be any bigger than 20's... definitely not 22's. Just my 2 cents :) It looks like you're going about it the right way though.....good job!

Do you think that rims are directly proportional to the size of your manhood? Cause I hate to tell you this, but they are inversely proportional.

Why are people hating, and not appreciating the craftsmanship and work that went into it. I think it looks awesome, and if I had the money/skills I would do something crazy too, you can always buy another rx8....but thats just unique! I like it bro, keep us posted!!

Well guys, i've been really bored doing a lot of daily driven cars, I wanted something more. How do you make a sport compact car to stand out more than it already is. Especially in shows. Dont u guys sometimes get bored looking at RX8 or the Evo or the Z33...Too many of them and nothin new....Don't get me wrong, I still mod them the normal way but I need a mascott to shows u know.

Dude you are a true baller and a true genius! You "inspire" me to do great things with my 8! You should really try and make a mold of that kit, and sell it.. I can't say if I like this or the R Magic wide body better!

The rear door can still open. everything still functions the way it's supposed to be, just looked different.

like I said the car itself is still far from finish, Many CF parts will be installed later during the final stage.

Cannot wait to see the evolution of this project. Don't hear those old ladies always whining on forums. They probably are aftermarket haters. Indeed you need some spacers, but especially in the back it would be better to have a nice deep dish after all, if you are considering changing the rims. And +1 for selling the widebodykit.

A for effort! The front half looks pretty good. Wheel style is nice, but the rear needs a more aggressive offset to sit flush with the wider rear.

Might be too late, but something to think about. If you can somehow accentuate the rear fender-well, similar to this veilside fortune FD, you can carve out what some of the guys are calling fat. Refer to below:

Don't forget about the body is way too fat and he will need a big wheels to match the body to flow nice, If he put small wheels on and it will look funny with the fat body on it.

By putting some nice kits, some nice wheels, some boosted parts etc? But that's all.there is. everyone else are doing the same things. So how do you take it to another level? By doing something ridiculously outrageous. Do you think Movie cars would feature a nice looking FD with some add ons and turbos and expect the general public to understand. forget it. everyone will say "My car looks better than that".
So one day, I woke up from bed and thinking, since no one else in this world is doing it to the 8, I say what the hell Let's do it or die trying. At least I already made an attempt.

Some people would disagree of course. But this car is purposedly build for shows.
so do keep in mind that regular looking 8 simply dont cut it in shows.

So, are you gonna mass produce this kit like the Veilside Fortune, or are you just gonna keep it as 1 of a kind?!

Sorry for the delay. my PC crashed last night I dont know why, but i'm using the one in the office now. so hopefully the IT guy will be able to repair it soon. otherwise no more photos untill then.

The Body are all made out of Galvanise metal plate. the bodykits & the door panels are all FRP/ fibreglass.

The Bodykits are Custom made.

I dont like that the body kit sticks out more then the rims. IMO it would look better with the rims pushed out as far as possible. Also I think you need to do something with the roof. The kit in total looks too big and blocky for the small round roof.

Other then that its great work, really smooth with nice clean lines.

It needs gull wing doors!!!

the front is cool, the rear im not sure, and the side i dont like at all. not liking the huge hole. just makes it look like a huge car.. instead i woulda recommended more curves, so that you can still see that the fenders are really flared. right now looks more like you put a tank body on top of a little car. also not a fan of those rims style or size. since you'[re all show and since its wide body maybe 20s at most, and the fitment can be much more aggressive

Glad to hear that you got it fixed! I'm always excited for more pictures! I'm always up for seeing something custom and unique as this.. I can't say what color you're going with, but I bet it has to be a custom and not a Mazda production paint. Is it going to be a 2 tone or no? Also, which Italian made car did you get your idea from?

wow... looks real nice... can't wait to see it with the carbon fiber on (rear diffuser?) i'm not really digging the front as it's a bit overplayed imo. and i'm undecided about the wheels. 22s are fine... but much too large and make the car look like a hotwheels or jada car, 20s would be perfect except you already designed your kit to fit 22s.

heh i did a few things. made it look like it was painted white. tried to fill the headlight gap. added interior to the door. added door panels to the doors closest too the camera. made hood black/cf.

tried to make it look like it wasn't being washed at the time. i dono....i was bored so i thought id do something :)

Have you thought to add any additional black accents to the rear of the car? The front and sides look great with the black and white and the rear is left all alone and looks a little naked. Maybe just a little jazz back there would look good...imo.

Color scheme you are going to have to go either Extreme or a candy/flakey type paint. I am a fan or Orange or Yellow and combine it w/Black. YUM!!!!

So if it's a show car what are you doing for suspension, coilovers or are you bagging it? I'm not so sure I dig the paint yet, think you need something that pops more, props on shaving the door handles, always drives me nuts when I see a car with a shit-ton of work done and the stock handles still there...ugh :D:

I'm actually loving the current white and black, looks clean. I doubt you'll go with the orange/black scheme again, considering you just had it previously... But I'm sure whatever you'll do will be awesome.

i dont know how big the market is for widebody kits.... but you could certainly make a name for yourself in that niche with this if you produced it.

I'm actually loving the current white and black, looks clean. I doubt you'll go with the orange/black scheme again, considering you just had it previously... But I'm sure whatever you'll do will be awesome.

Oh, oops, I didn't know you've already done a black/orange 8. I'll try something different. btw, this is just for fun, I also think the white/flat black looks classy....maybe it needs just a hint of color, maybe not. Either way, it's fantastic custom body work!

Have you thought to add any additional black accents to the rear of the car? The front and sides look great with the black and white and the rear is left all alone and looks a little naked. Maybe just a little jazz back there would look good...imo.

The Idea of the kit came to me during a car show. You know how the Japanese make one 8 look like the Maserati ( the Duck garden kit) and they did a Z33 to look like the Vanquish (The DAMD kit). I kinda like wanted to do this car to look like another Italian made car but something that people havent done yet. Something more original and fresh. so voila. Some might like it, some might not. to each his own but I bet the end result will look much better than the teaser pics.

He's not so original as I thought he was, apparently he ripped off the rear end diffuser off a Toyota Celica wide body. I was looking at wide body kits on google, and stumbled across the Celica, which looked like it had the same design as INSPIRE's car. But, then I checked the dates and saw that the Celica was built 3 years before INSPIRE did his car. It looks better on the 8 though. I think his aim was to make the entire car look like the Veilside wide body kit for the FD's.

That's originality!! Maybe tone it down on the wheel size and close up the gaps in the rear. Other than that I agree with where you're going with it.
