was this from today? lol if it was i was there to! i took the same exact pictures. if you look closley at the is f i believe it called. you could still see the sand mark on the drivers side front bumper.

Great pics, and i agree with you, I think the 04's - 07's look much better than the new cars.

those wheels are so damn nice...on the speedsource

yeah yeah....i got home about an hour ago. was nice. the '09 deff was a mistake. the front sucks...i like the rear front the side it looks good besides the small fender vents. the wheels are really nice, the rear tail lights are great the interior was heh at best. the recarco seats are a snug fit. if you are more than like 200 lbs you will be a lil uncomfortable. over all the '09 just doesn't do it...

over all i had a nice time and of course we hit mazda first before any other make, lol...well besides the free display of scions at the entrance, lol.

and i have to add im glad I got the '08....close call, lol.

I just simply don't like the 09.

there were a few nice cars out there but it seemed like the show was kinda just slapped together....nothing uber exciting....kia, huyndai and suzuki had some nice offerings too......seems like the magic number is 300hp now

actually there were rediculous crowds around the 8.......the other mazda cars were just kinda looked over and passed over

The new cars are not that bad looking (still like our 04-07 more), just the steering wheel and those new side vents are awful, whats wrong with the larger ones we have now. i do like the new wheels tho

there is just something about the 2009 8 i do not like.. not sure what it is quite yet, cant put my finger on it. but that flatblack 8 and furai are just plan sick. thx for sharing the photos.

Nice Pics. Just a thought but I just noticed on the 09 that the exhaust shroud doesn't completely surround the exhaust tip. I wonder if part of the design change was from all the aftermarket exhausts melting them.

I just don't like the 09 body modifications. It makes it look weak, i dunno just me or anyone else feel like the new body makes the 8 look childish?

But - i do like the gunmetal rims.

I went to explore the RX8 a little more today. It really looks good in person. I had to take a few trips back to Mazda's booth because everyone started crowded around the RX8 waiting for a "seat" inside. Mazda got more attention than I expected it to have. Congrats for them. The Recaros felt nice but I think the squeezing around the upper torso will need some time to get used to. The fabric centers on the leather seats and door panels felt good too. I did notice a lot of pealing of the side bolsters of the Recaro's (something to be aware of even though it IS a demo car).

I couldn't stand the ignorant comments though. "Oh, they just added some wheels", "The 350z is better", "8500 rpm? that must eat a lot of gas", "why is the motor so small? 1300cc?", etc etc etc blah blah blah. A lot more nice comments than bad comments though.

I pretended to be a dumb ass and asked what was new about the RX8 and the "Mazda Guy" said "faceleft, wheels, sport R3 package, and a new oil cooling system with the old honey comb design". Didn't mention gearing and tranny. He did say a new RX will be presented around 2010 and it will most likely come with a new engine (asked if it's the 16x but he wasn't sure). The 2009 RX8 will arrive at showrooms around Late June-Early July. I'm just quoting what the Mazda "guy" said when I asked.

I took quite a lot of pics around the car hoping to compare the differences. Vents, headlights, exhaust, rear "lip", front lip, coolers, taillights, interior gauges (weren't lit), center console, seats, etc. I'll upload them later. They're pretty much the same pics you guys took (chrism/klepto).

Haha, i heard the same thing about the Furai. "It's a batmobile", "its a racecar", "i would never drive that on the street though":rofl:. Mazda definitely had a big hit this year. It wasn't even that crowded last even. Even the 2nd Mini mazda booth down in the basement had quite a hit with the CX7, CX9, and the Tribute (who would've thought? A tribute?!).

That's a interesting observation & perhaps a good omen for the future that some peps will want to get rid of them and be putting those suckers up on ebay ..or here.. 4sale!! Can't wait (@155lbs) :naughty:
