After putting a post last time, I recieved a very few responses... Looking for other 8 owners to meet with every now and then. I was fortunate enough to meet model_no15 this week, and we had a great time checking out each others rides and ideas. So, come out of the woodwork and lets see who is close to sacramento. Where are all the Sacramento or surrounding neighborhood people at? I see RX8 here and there but they are always driven by old ladies. Any other forum members near the Sac area. There should be a meet so we can all check out each other's rides and hang out for a bit.

i just got my rx8 last friday and i love driving it. its a sport package AT. im new to this car. and i am interested in getting ideas for modding it. i live in sac/elk grove

I had a lot of work done at AR performance there in elk grove. Cool guys that do a great job. The 8 is a very fun car to drive and also modify!

I don't know about driving to Notomas but I'd be down for a meet a little more centralize to Sac county around Power Inn Calvine area.

I'm looking to do some upgrades soon. All I have is intake and other than that just rims and a few other body mods.

Looking for some CF goodies and then next up is either nitrous or boost, maybe some suspension goodies as well..

I've had one of the fastest street cars in Sac/NorCal for a while ('92 TSI AWD Talon 10.2@142) I went to build a single digit drag car but kinda got distracted by the 8, and my job/GF taking all my spare time.

However the 8 is nice but too too slow. Worrying about RSXs and S2000s and 350Zs and the such is embarrassing.. :spank:

Not a drag car, although there are a few. Add a turbo, keep the rpms up and/or take them down a twisty road.

There is a dyno meet on Aug. 2nd in Hayward. There are like 11 people or more attending so far. Mabye you guys want to drive out on that day. I'm from the sac area and I am going to the dyno meet.

There are plenty of superb handling cars that aren't as anemic as an RX8.. once you compare its lack of power to its decent handling it would still have a lacking overall score. Add in gas millage and blah blah blah and its definitely a car only for a specific niche.

I love my car, but its more for looks than performance.

You're Se3P or somethin like that right.. I remember now, you use to have a RX8 too, did you sell it? If you still have any of the parts maybe we can switch some dsm parts for RX8 parts?

A little bit of everything, right now CF Hood/Trunk/Spoiler, the of course performance and suspension mods. Now that I'm back to stock its time to rebuild it lol.

Speaking of Sac, I just wanna know who the tool was speeding and ridding everyones ass in the blue GT yesterday in the Arden area.

It made me look bad, well you being a douche made me look bad, guy had nice rims but my 8 still looked better, so did my rims. :lol:

When I started this thread, it was with all my attentions to get this sactown thing off the ground and on the map. I want to thank model 15 for working on this and for everyones interest and ideas. we're "discussing" it right now on the thread 11/22 meet. go check it out. After the decision has been made, there will be a new thread with the date of the meet. Right now it's probably on the 27th of this month. Hopefully it will coincide with the rx7 meet this time too.
