i was taking nap in the car with my girl late in the day. about almost closing time. when all of a sudden i hear a loud crunching noise and my car jumps forward. i open the door and look back and see a van pulling away from my car. vans often come into my parking lot selling fruits or other stuff. when i looked it seemed like they where trying to drive away so run up to the van. my employee jumps out and says omg, i think i hit ur car" i'm like yeah, no shit. then she tried to say why didnt' i see her cuz she thought i was driving. that kinda ticked me off. i told the stupid #*%*# that i was sleeping, how could i see u.
anyways, she been working with us for a long time and i didnt' wanna be a dick so i just told her that i'd tell her how much the repairs was after. fawk, sucks. all the other employees come out after and start kicking my bumper. they where laughing, "oh, good thing she hit the boss, otherwise she'd have to pay allot" what a shitty situation.

Why don't you just have her insurance cover it? I'm really confused....

How mad would you have been if she asked what you were doing sleeping when you're driving? :lol2:

Let insurance handle it, and dock your deductible from her next paycheck

There is no deductible when someone else is at fault....

Did you get an estimate? May not be such a bad situation... she in turn can't try to deny fault or give you a hard time about repairs.... goes both ways.
Talk about a rude awakening... lucky for you that you were there when it happened...

it was a long day, i was waiting to lock up. so i took a nap in the car. i didn't want to get insurance involved cuz i didn't want to jack up her insurance. just want my shit fixed. in the end she still works for me, been with us for over 6 years. so i dont want to make a bid deal.

Now you know why the expression "asleep at the wheel" has negative connotations.
