They aren't funny, but if this guy's for real, he's got a very valid reason to be pissed off. I would be too. So I'm not taking them personally.

This must be what happened to my car (wrong dipstick)- I was getting 15 Mpg, my oil light came on, and I lost power, then I lost my engine. My new engine is more powerful and I am getting much better gas mileage.

Just several "hot topic" problems all rolled into one......and of course a long list of "other message board" jokes. First post also. Just some clues to me.

Also if you read other threads. Someone else started one within ten minutes of this one (first post also..... stating Porno ads in the banners). Ive never seen this.......and dont believe ryan would put porno on his site. think about it.

However one never knows, and its just how it appears to me. Ive been known to be wrong once in a while:)

Youch... Yes Mazda has screwed some things up with the car, and may have an even bigger problem looming with the engine. But wow, that's some seriously bad luck and this is certainly an extreme case.

I thought the jokes were rather funny, even if they are exagerated and written out of frustration. But he wasn't writing about the car I own, though if he was I think I'd still laugh even if I didn't agree :p I'd be amazed if the guy is a troll, the post is far to well written and thought out, that would be a lot of research for someone to do just to complain about a lemon car and make 1 post...

Ignore him and maybe he'll keep his word and go home.

What makes you think EVO guys (or any other groups of car owners for that matter) hate RX-8s or any other car people for that matter, they got what they wanted you got what you wanted.

There is NO rivalry with EVO and WRX guys vs. RX-8s they are very different cars that seem to attract a different buyer. Z vs. RX-8 maybe you could make an argument, RSX vs. Celica GTS as well. But even that's odd, WRX guys and EVO guys get along great, we appreciate one another and realize that we have similar likes in what a car has to offer.

The people on these boards that think they are some sort of troll hunter seem to be the biggest troublemakers and seems to be corrupting other owners brains. Just because I or any type of car owner out there is here does not mean we're here to bash the 8. Just because you think it's the greatest car ever does not mean someone that someone who thinks it lacks a little in certain areas is a troll and hates the RX-8. Same goes if someone has a really bad experience with the car does not mean they are a troll and trying to spread misinformation.

This could happen with any car from any manufacturer, and it seems he was simply venting. Yet some of you feel the need to go into troll hunter mode. I've seen this type of post on other boards with various cars, the only difference is the board members didn't run the guy out with pitchforks and fire.

Haha, the guy deleted, just get rid of the post since it's only a matter of time before the pitchforks and fire are turned on me :p

And Ike, I think he realized he was being called on something he was unwilling or unable to back up- while I don't think he was an EVO troll (that makes no sense, if you think about it) he was obviously here to stir something up. And since most of us responded with sympathy, we ruined all his fun.

Maybe you're right, I've been wrong before but :D But I'm usually pretty good at spoting BS and it seemed like a genuine post from someone that had a horrible experience and wanted to vent now that his ordeal is over with. He didn't delete until people turned on him. If he was really here to stir up trouble it seems he would have fired back or at least left his post intact.

Zthang, I'm not sure what you're referring too, exactly- I was referring to Mental Pimp's "gay banana" that I removed. I don't find jokes about people's sexual orientation funny, as I don't find jokes about other people's religions, color, or beliefs funny. Did you misinterpret something *I* said, or are you referring to another moderator's post? I wasn't calling anything "gay," I was pointing out that I removed something that made fun of being homosexual because I found it offensive. It is NOT ok (at least with me) to call things "gay" in a derogatory manner. Now do you understand my post? Or are you still confused?

I did see your original post, the one that involved a mother, urinating, and a face... Elara was correct to edit that, it was really uncalled for. I did not see the post after that before it was edited, but I'm sure it was real mature. Don't sweat it Elara, this whole post is kind of screwy now that so many things have been edited.

1.)He owner the car and and had a bad experience and got it bought back with the lemon law, at least that was his story. So it was his car as well, I think you only saw the jokes, but I'm not sure.
