So check this out.....I recieved my 8 on Aug 13 and I already had my tags reserved a few months before. My tags say "RX-8" in the state of Virginia.
So I recieve my 30 day tags and then when that was up I recieved my blue tags which means that I have custom tags being made. Today I look at my temp tags and they have expired with no new tags in site. So I have my tag an title department at work call the DMV and they say they made the tags but they are still holding them due to a drug realted issue. Apparently they believe that this is also a term for Extacy. However the issue has been resolved now that the car is avialable on the market. Since I reserved them so early they had no idea that there was a car out called the RX-8 and they thought I was using some code term for extacy. Go figure. Anyone else encounter this problem.

RX-8 is a term for Extacy? Well, yeah. I'll believe that. I don't know if I would call it an actual drug though.

I never thought about the Rx/pharmacy relation till now. I wonder if the RICKRX7 plates on my FD have meaning on the streets ? ;)

So what if you wanted the plates "DRUGS" ? Probably go straight through ... nothing like being honest :D

At least you'll know what's going on if your car is continually broken into :(

I still don't see the connection between Ecstasy and The car:confused:

My old plates on my Rx-7 said "NTHE RX" and I got asked a couple times what my plate said and asked if I was into drugs! :)

Its not the connection between the car and Xtasy, but the connection between the phrase "RX-8" and what that could be a code for.

RX=perscrption and 8 Im guessing stands for xtasy.....:eek:
