im located around long beach area...i'm actually in a car team called team ryoku and we used to host our own meets at the cerritos mall...it was a legit place because we actually asked the local authorities if we could have our meets there and once we got the green light it grew...but due to stupid racers around the area we were forced to abandon our meets...

Spartan, the thing is that you have a 4-Port engine. Even with a tranny swap, you won't be able to make much power. If possible, I believe that it's cheaper just to buy a 6-Port engine+tranny (be it MT or AT) and do the swap. That would be the cheapest route imo. :)

Of course, there's always the FI route though I've seen 230-240whp top with a 4-Port.

John having the 4 port was also something I was considering. To be honest when I looked into getting my 8 I didnt realize there was a newer 6 port AT... that was my bad for not doing enough footwork before I got it.

I'm not sad with my car AT ALL... I love. And its not so much the power gain I'm looking for but the fun of having a manual.

That's sorta the same in my case, I had no idea that there was a 4-port or 6-port version of our cars until a short while after. :)

Spartan....you have a 2004 AT? my friend had one (he sold it and bought a 2003 g35, yea he's fucking stupid) we went to a dyno once, for my 6AT and his 4AT, his dynoed around 148whp and mine dynoed 165whp........my MT right now dynoes 203whp without nitrous and 235with nitrous, I'm sure you can search up the dyno I posted somewhere =_=' so thats about the amount of power difference you're looking at.

ps: if you really want a manual, getting a used renny engine+tranny = 3-4k, labor and misc = 2k most so you're looking at 5-6k............Trading it in = 2-3k out your pocket...........please be sensible!!!

btw my clutch is starting to get alot less stiff, like its much easier to push now, maybe I'm just developing massive leg muscle?

Spartan....you have a 2004 AT? my friend had one (he sold it and bought a 2003 g35, yea he's fucking stupid) we went to a dyno once, for my 6AT and his 4AT, his dynoed around 148whp and mine dynoed 165whp........my MT right now dynoes 203whp without nitrous and 235with nitrous, I'm sure you can search up the dyno I posted somewhere =_=' so thats about the amount of power difference you're looking at.

ps: if you really want a manual, getting a used renny engine+tranny = 3-4k, labor and misc = 2k most so you're looking at 5-6k............Trading it in = 2-3k out your pocket...........please be sensible!!!

btw my clutch is starting to get alot less stiff, like its much easier to push now, maybe I'm just developing massive leg muscle?

The only problem with getting a new engine and transmission and going full manual. Is the clutch pedal... thats why I was asking about the clutchless. I am sure I can deal with the pedal but I would rather not chance it with the condition of my knee.

If I did get a new engine and stuff I have a friend that could be able to do it so It would probably cost me just close to cost... AND I could learn how to rebuild engines myself :D.

As for trading it in I realize the loss thats why I'm not planning on it. Also with the 4+k i have already put into it. lolol

Oh, and please ignore the cheap Pepboys filter... All the other filters (Apex'i, K&N, etc.) gets crushed by the suction at 14 psi... This one seems to hold up even though it's a super crappy flowing filter.

I got free tickets to the Grand Prix today and I had to skip out on it... along with the Pie run since I was on my deathbed unable to move...

So my car got the to meet the bad end of something flying down the road on Saturday night. During the cruise something flew in and left my radiator thinking to itself....HMMMM I don't think I want all this coolant inside of me anymore. Needless to say I had a waterfall coming out of the bottom of my car.

And since it was Sunday when I had to call around to get it checked out to see if warranty covered it all that jazz... no one was open. So right now my car is coolant free and undriveable.

Nothing happened to the new bumper but I'm sad non-the-less.

Yah I'm almost positive it wont be covered under the warranty. and it was MOST definitly the radiator... by the time it was done leaking it looked someone had washed their car with the amount of liquid that was in the gutter and under my car.

More then likely something flew in and hit it... you can see a huge chunk missing out of my undercarriage and a huge chip out of the bottom part of the radiator.

So I think I am going to go through insurance and have Phat replace it for me. I'm just hoping nothing happened to my engine... because I dont know exactly when it happened during the night. I started to hear the scraping from the undercarriage towards the end sooo who knows :(
