Long story short, only dealer in the area that will discount.
Salesman is a very nice, personable guy, but for the second time hasn't bothered to call me back for months.
Around six weeks ago, I test drove, he said he'd check with his manager on the price, would let me know.
He never did.
Sorry, I'm not going to beg someone to sell me a car...

RX8s are being sold all over the country below MSRP some at Invoice. I have seen mutiple threads about pricing and $500 -$1000 over invoice is very easy to do. Here is a link of a dealer up north selling a GT loaded for Invoice. Thats almost a 3k discount off of MSRP.

BillK, if you really want an RX8 and you are credit worthy you can make a deal. Just go do it. You will not be sorry.

I don't fit in a Touring or GT because of the #$@! sunroof. I would need to order a Sport and even dealers who are discounting usually don't discount as much on special orders.
That, and buying a car out of state is a royal PITA...
Why leave it hanging - get his "final answer". It's not begging its just holding them to their word of making a decision. I wouldn't be begging I'd let them know I was not happy with their level of professionalism in not following through; and what are they going to do to make it up to you :)
