I just put new wheels on my 8 this weekend. Looks great and i will post pics a.s.a.p

They are gunmetal RS Limited Elite's, i stayed with the 18's.
They great thing is they are blowing all wheels out right now for the winter so i only paid 500 for all 4.

In my opinion Black or Gunmetal is the best look for this car. I have seen a red, black and now my yellow with gunmetal and i wouldnt so anything different.

In case anyone was wondering, Yes the tire sensors work fine with these wheels it just takes them a little longer to do the mounting of the tires.

Where did yout get them for that price? ANd how much do they weigh?

as i stated before i will get pics asap but here is a pic of the wheel only this is the titanium color.

I have to borrow a camera so it will be a couple of days.
as far as the weight they seem to be really close to equal but this was just an arm test. if someone would like to tell me what the weight of a standard wheel and tire is i will weigh the ones i just bought sometime this week and post it.

sorry i forgot to tell you where i got them. I bought them from commercial tire in boise idaho. they are blowing out any and all warehouse stock of wheels. the total was $517 and change.

looks awesome! i was thinkin of getting gunmetal on my titanium gray but i dunt know how that will look.. as for your yellow and gunmetal GREAT choice

i have seen the gunmetal on a titanium colored s2000 and it looks awesome, granted they are not the same car but the color is very close

Finally an american with great taste in colours and wheels .

YELLOW.....The Ultimate Sports Car color. This has been a long wait for me. I have been waiting to get a great sports car that is yellow,fast,fun,and in the right price range. This is hard to do when you have a wife that is just as picky about the style of car she will drive as you. I went to the tire store and spent 4.5 hours there before i left the shop with the wheels. As hard as it was to be there for 4 hours i am glad i was patient for i think this car takes a lot of thinking to decide the right type of wheel. I learned this lesson on my last car.....i went through about 5 different wheel and tire combos's

what size are those wheels... They look a little small in the wheel wells. Are they 17's?

one other thing i just have to say. I am pissed @ Mazda for not giving the option of the Yellow/Black interior so i will have to do it myself i guess with some microfiber material.

Felt the same way myself , i have the leather pack i think you guys call it the GT pack .
At first i was really pissed off however i have come to realise yellow leather inserts would be real hard to keep clean , sweat marks and suntan lotion marks as i get down the beach as often as possible, so for now i am a content rx8 owner but i would like an extra 50 kw ( 75bhp in your language)

I had the same thought on keeping it clean but i think if i find a microfiber with a good scotch guard it wouldn't be too bad to take care of.
As far as the HP issue it is sort of disturbing but the rest of the car makes up for it. along with the amount of oooohs and ahhhhs that people give over the car.

I kindof like that. It makes the yellow Rx8 look more rugged and reminds me of 80s muscle-ish cars.

I think he figures any replacement wheels should be pimpin' 19s or 20s!

Personally i think 20's would be a bit much, but 19's i guess wouldnt be bad since the car was actually designed around 19's any way. The dealership here has a black one with 19" black wheels and it looks really good. my only compaint was that the dealer also left a 45 series tire on it and on 19's the 45 series looks more like a 55 series.

So far this is the best set of wheels i have put on any of my cars and am happy with them so far but not too happy with the place i bought them from.

The yellow leather interior does look nice. But the yellow would look weird forthe interior of the other colors. They wanted tomake the interior colors interchangeable between all 7 exterior colors and yellow interior only looks good in yellow. Thatsjust my opinion but I am sure most people agree.

i sort of have to disagree, i have seen many silver,black,yellow,and yes even red cars that have a ton of yellow in the interior, now yes i do agree that yellow and red would lokk a bit like ketchup and mustard but many of the other colors would still look good. oh well i will jst plan on redoing the upolstry myself.

Was told the reason yellow was taken out was that it is hard to get constant supply with the same shade of yellow and also keeping it clean is very hard .

The only place i may put yellow leather is on the doors front and back .

well shit, wven with that in mind its not as if one person usually buys two of the same color cars.
