I am not happy with my settings right now and am wondering what you guys have yours set to.

I wantto see what other people have their settings at.
I am talking about what youall have set for Bass, Mid, Treble, Fade, and Balance.

Let me know if you are using stock system or the Boss system.

If you have also added subs and amp inthe trunk, tell me how many watts the amp is and the number and size of the subs.

For example this is my current setup---

Bass - 6
Mid - 3
Treble - 6
Fade - 0
Balance - 0

Stock system w/two 12" subs and a 600 watt amp

I had the base stereo, unmodified, and I ran Bass and Mid at -2, Treble at +3, and fade & balance at 0

I'm sorry, you have a setting for "Mid" on yours? Is that a stock stereo thing? I have the Bose and there are only settings for Bass and Treble...

what type of music do you normally listen to?

If it is Rock, or most other types of music, and you have a mid channel (not on all systems) turn the mid down most of the way at low volumes, and the bass and treb all the way or almost all the way up, at higher volumes, turn the treb and bass to lower settings and almost match to mid to same level. Your ears hear things differently at different dB, it's called the Fletcher-Munson curve

however, if you have big subs, turn the bass down a little more at low levels, and equal or lower than mid at higher dB.

I work in the music business if you were curious, music city usa, however at these settings you hear what the mastering studio wants you to hear, especially on the sonically correct Bose speakers.

Wow guys that doesntmake sense to me. Why would the people with the regular stock stereo get an extra audio setting ---the Mids--- that the Bose stereo systems dont? Controlling the mids is really great.

Jerky,

You can control the mids with base and treble settings essentially. If you want more mid, you lower the bass and treble.

More importantly I am not that big a fan of the Audiopilot. I would much rather have the speed sensitive volume that the Stock stereo has. For those who have installed the MP3 player or 6-Disc changer, was there any switch you had to set to tell the headunit wether it was going into a Stock or Bose system? Or did the headunit figure it out on its own?

Ps. Before NX30 tweeters:
Treble = +3
Bass = 0
Fade = F1
Balance = 0

After NX30's:
Treble = 0
Bass = 0
Fade = R1
Balance = 0

There was no switch - the interface at that point is the same on both systems.

I thought if you turn AudioPilot OFF, you get to adjust the mids - on the upgraded stereo.
