weird. I know 2004 didn't have white as an available color, but I am sure by 2006 they weren't shipping Rx-8's with black washer bottles either.

Funny I was wondering about the black washer tank too. My 2005 White did not have a black tank. Did someone get an old black tank, or, the dreaded question, did someone paint the car?

some of the 05 white 8's did have black washer tanks, and some of them had clear tanks....all depends on the build date

I can't find a picture of it right now. You can go out to your car and pull off the piller, they're all clips and you'll see what I mean. :)

well actually i deployed the airbag and put the gauges there, the passenger pillar airbag is still intact

I dyno at 347 whp 274 ft/pd at 6800 and i just ordered some greddy pulleys because greddy recommends them before the stage 3 upgrade, they also recommend them before the stage 2 upgrade but i put the stage 2 in before i got the pulleys but it runs fine so whatever

stickers give me 25 hp and 12 ft/pd of torque each. trust me, i can feel the power difference

Depends on your boost levels. You'll see anywhere from 240 whp to 280 whp on the greddy turbo.

It's going to be physically impossible to get 350 out of it.

I have a dumb question for all you FI folk...why not run the intake thru the front like t he MS cold air intake. I understand you run it thru a inter cooler, but wouldn't it be better to start with cooler air?

You can get a cold air for they kit but it just doesn't some with it. Anyways the intercooler cools the air so not to much need for a CAI.

Ummm... I really have no comment on this thread except to say that you should be running all trailing plugs, with shims in the leading positions.
And CAI does help on a turbo. Instead of sucking in all that hot engine compartment air, a CAI will be sucking in air that is at least
50* colder.
And I don't care what the guy says that you order parts from, you're not getting 347whp. I doubt a GReddy kit can do 347whp even with all the other upgrades. You'll need AT LEAST the MazdaManiac turbo delete or a Mazsport kit.

did you just buy this car and then some used car salesman told you that you were going to get 347 hp to the wheels? those are all at the dealer pictures which is why i am thinking that. just go get it dyno'd and make sure you have your numbers right before you come on here and tell them to everyone. people here know their stuff and if you're wrong, they are definitely going to call you out on it.

Even then, that will be tough. 347whp is not a cheap or easy thing to do, yet alone gonna happen with a max of 8psi.

I think it'll be easy. I just need to raise the boost level on my boost controller.

Unfortunately for the OP, even if you raise the greddy's boost, you aren't going to be going over 300. Most never see 290.

Dig in the playground box a little guys. The average numbers for the kit that have not been tuned and are the base kit is 230whp with 160tq. When mysql originally had his he was running those numbers. The guy hasnt mentioned anything other than a turbo, no int-x or any other engine managements. What do we win.

I did around 255 with the stock int-x map. I suspect there was around a 20 whp gain over the emu (which wasn't dyno tuned), so 230 - 240 sounds about right. But each car is different.

well to tell u the truth i dont know about Mazdas, well any japanese cars really, when i was told those claims i believed them, ive always had VWs and i decided to go the a mazda, ive always wanted an 8 but just always stuck with vw and i knew how to upgrade them and i knew what to put in them but now im in a mazda rx8 and i want to know what is recommended for a turbo rx8, i have the greddy kit for the car and a borla exhaust, and they are nice because they were easier to install well actually much easier to install than any vw part but thats besides the point now will someone please help me i dont want to search what is recommended to make this car bad ass

I have a punch of "." you can borrow though. Your car looks good but the hp numbers came from over the top. Coming from someone who has a turbo should already know how to produce better numbers and know how to stay away from the bs that comes with them. It seems you bought this car with the kit on it. Not a bad idea but be careful when you throw numbers out there. Educate yourself on FI set-ups then claim your numbers. No flaming you just letting you know the reality of this forum. I havent got the turbo kit because I dont know enough yet. This thread will be forgotten in a few weeks when someone else has a disappointing entrance. Hang in there
