I'm trying to decide on a sub for my rx8. What has everyone had their best luck w/? My 2 favorites are JL audio and Diamond Audio. I had 2 JL12w6's in my last car and they sounded fantastic. I also used to have a diamond audio M3, it was loud as shit.
I only want to put 1 12" in the rx8 due to trunk space. My amp is a MTX 350 watts rms 450max or so @ 4ohms bridged. Here is what i am thinking about getting:

What do you think? any better options?

everyone in here prefers the JL audio line.
I only have 2 12" RF HX2 and they sound good to me.
If the choice was mine, I'd choose the JL option every time ... for subs that is.
Going for a sealed enclosure? I'd go with a 12W6v2, though the 12W3v2 is closer to the Diamond you're looking at.

I've used Polk subs when JL subs hadn't fit my applications well.

Ok, guess i'll stick w/ the JL's. How many subs are most people putting in their 8's what kind of enclosure etc. I'm going to use either 1 or 2 JL12W6's.
Thanks,
Matt
EDIT: I would like to use as small of a enclosure as possible.

I just sold my 12W6 - they are great subs! If you power them correctly they should last a while! Not only is the sound quality great, but they hit hard!

I hate to say this but saying that you want 2-12"s and a small box at the same time just isn't going to cut it. Do 1-12" and port it for a good compromise. I don't care what anyone says about ported boxes they sound just fine. 1 ported JL 12 will outdo 2 sealed JL 12's. Just something to think about. You don't have anywhere near the power to run 2-12"s nicely anyways so you need to efficiency of a ported box.
KTM: I have found from experience with all Rockford subs that they absolutely suck in sealed boxes. It isn't even funny. Port them and you'll swear you bought 4 more. When I built a van for Rockford 2 years ago, we did the Power HX-2 15's (10 of them) in a 35 cu. ft. ported box. Trust me. You'll like it.

Rotarygod, I totally agree w/ you. I originally had 1 12"w6 in a 1.5 cubic foot ported box. IT WAS LOUD. The main thing that I gained w/ a sealed box and the second sub was better accuracy. The subs sounded much more accurate and clean.
