Right now it's just these models and me in an empty classroom.

Soon the kids will be here and we'll talk about cells or DNA ... and somehow I'll work the RX-8 into our lesson plan.

Say, filling up an atom's energy shells with electrons.

"Helium has only 2 electrons, both of which are in the first energy shell. That's like a 350Z, only 2 front seats and it's full. But if you consider Beryllium, it has 4 electrons: two in the first energy shell and two in the second energy shell. That's like a RX-8, it has front and back seats to fit all 4 electrons!" Groan ... :eyetwitch

And I'll be thinking, "Outside those window blinds is my 8." :banghead:

But inside this classroom are the kids who provide the means to pay for it and so much more. So they'll get all my attention for now, then it's RX-8 time!

^ Of course.

Hey Root, interesting reading on your blog. I hear about those student-teacher conflicts regarding Facebook a lot.

Guess the "egg in syrup" wasn't a thrilling lab/demo for you back in high school. Too bad because homeostasis (or probably it was transport that was being taught), is cool to me.
