So i have been doing research throughout the threads looking for my HP options, i have been debating FI for quite some time and i have a feeling i will be for awhile. I am planning on moving back to CA in a few years when i get out of the military and i have read in many different threads that if anything appears to be other than stock under the hood you can get a ticket, is this true? I was just thinking about getting an AEM CAI and the HKS Legamax Catback exhaust system but will these items 'break' the law so to speak i mean has it come down to johnny law handing out tickets for aftermarket intakes, and if i am going to get a ticket for having a CAI i might as well take my chances with the Greddy turbo kit.....anyways enough rambling can anyone clarify this i know that i can pass the sniffer test as well as the visual, for a price, but what about these new laws i am hearing about??????????

Oh, and does anyone know if i do get the Greddy turbo kit, will it pass inspection in Colorado, thanks......

if your worried about the police get the Mazdaspeed intake, it has a c.a.r.b. sticker on it so if a cop pops the hood he cant do jack. the MS intake is the AEM CAI just rebadged and marked up. im not 100% if the AEM on has the C.A.R.B. sticker or not

don't get FI.. yet

not sure about AEM CAI but Racing Beat intake is not street legal.

Legamax is legal with the stock cat, but it is heavier than stock cat-back..
same goes with RB cat-back.

Many have used Borla exhaust, it's lighter but it's much louder.

i wouldn't recommend MazdaSpeed exhaust, although i like the design because it's a
twin-canister, Mazda claims it doesn't provide noticeable hp gains.
