I had this weird dream last night, in fact I would say it was a nightmare.
First of all, I was raised in Okinawa Japan for 17yrs of life before I moved to the US 10yrs ago. So when I use the term village, it’s more like neighborhood.

Any how for some reason My car was being worked on (rx8 m t). So only way I can get to work is to ride the bus, which is very common in Japan. On mine way to the bus stop, I seen my car at a Lamborgini dealership being worked on, which is found in the middle of the village I live in. in fact I don’t even know if there is an such thing as lamborgini dealership.

So I go up to my car and look inside to make sure all my belongings are inside the car. Then I notice something that was not normal to me. I found 2 automatic sticks in my car. One on left side of the driver seat (which is US side) and an auto stick on the passenger right side. Then I get highly upset wondering why they would change my car from a MT to an Auto.

Then out of no where a guy from the dealership says my car is ready. And that I can take it. I then tell the guy, this is not my car, my car is a MT not an automatic. Then he tells me that my car is a automatic and it was never a MT. then we go back and forth, until he says we called your wife to confirm that your car was an auto, and that my wife told them, she THINKS my car is an automatic.

Then I told the man, ever since I was 17yrs old, all of my cars have been MT. this is not my car. Then I started to get a feeling inside (you know the feeling where you know you are right, but someone is trying to tell you that you are wrong. And you start getting very frustrated to the point you just want to hit him) then I finally woke up. Went outside to my car ot make sure it was all a dream. Looked inside my car to make sure it was an MT .


Sorry if this does not make any sense, English is my second language, but I just thought it was a funny nightmare.

oh btw the auto stick looks like the ones you find in muscle cars. where all your fingers grip the button instead of just your thumb.

Freud would say you have Automatic envy...

Funny you say this. I've thought about something similar.

Throughout the years I always have dreams on occasion where I'm driving cars that I've owned/own or cars that I don't own or cars that don't really exist. The point is, as far as I remember, that everyone of them are automatic (can I not shift in my sleep?). I also usually get the sensation that the brakes don't work or the car won't stop (or I really have no control over it) as if I'm about to run into something in front of me. Every car I've ever owned in real life (except the first) has always been a manual.

My conclusion/analysis: dreams are weird.

Sounds almost like a case of wishful dreaming:)
