Hey everyone I'm New to the site. Just rolled my 2004 Titanium Gray Touring 6 Speed RX-8 off the lot Yesterday.
I happy cried all the way home  , stoked I have my favorite car, but am now 20k in det! :banghead: and actually want to put more money into it lol. I'll post pictures in my garage in the next couple days, it's stock for now so no hurry I think everyone here knows what it looks like, haha.

I look forward to talking and learning a lot from all you all. I am not familiar with rotary engines at all, Don't know very much about them at all :Eyecrazy:

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some Carbon Fiber Mirrors? I've been google-ing and Ebay-ing like crazy, can't seem to find any.

These are in the mail right now too I bought off Ebay.

im pretty sure you got ripped if it was 20k for an 04 depending on the mileage. thats a lot!!! the cf door cover panels whatever are pretty cool. the grille on the other hand is disgusting... happy modding :)

It was 20k out the door with 30k miles, single owner before me, still under warranty.

i woudlnt use those grilles, i can see them drastically reducing the air flow to your oil coolers.

you can find CF mirrors on japanparts.com and http://www.evo-r.net/product/RX-8/index.htm

Hmm.. my HONEST opinion..
Fake Carbon Panels off ebay - FAIL
Chrome Grills on a sports car - FAIL
Carbon Mirrors on stock car - FAIL

I'd work on the exterior first if i were you.
Mazdaparts or JapanParts has the greatest stuff.

Other than that.. WELCOME TO THE ADDICTION

Props on your ride.

If you are looking for some Carbon Fiber accents, evo-r.net will be a great place to start. be careful of ebay purchases, a lot of people have had bad experiences with that, then agian, some have good ones. Everything and more than you need to know can be found on this forum. Get used to the search button, or some will hate for re-posts. If you ever have a question, search for 30 min, then post if you cant find it, but chances are that you will get your answer sooner than that.

Good luck with the modding...

Hey Valakai, congrats on getting yer baby. I agree that the grille is kinda small and a bit too flashy for my own tastes. But it is definitely different and that can be a great thing. I'm also not into the carbon fibre thing but others are. Do whatever makes you happy. A real quick thing to do is get rid of the amber corner lights and put in clear corners. That'll immediately improve the exterior for your grey 8.

Tons of info. here on rotaries so good luck!

Thanks for all the responses everyone. Yea I never thought about the grill affecting the performance of my car... so I will have to see what I put on when I get it if anything now.
I was never really into the whole carbon fiber thing either cause I think it stands out too much for my taste, but it blends nicely with the car color so just accents for me, no hood or trunk planned.
and last but not least, even tho everyone probably knows about this site, some cool stuff here only for RX8.

^^^ yea most members know about rx8strakes they are a great seller and are highly recommended around here. as for the carbon fiber mirrors, i would say no. but thats just not my style. if you are looking to change up the look of your grille in subtle ways, i bought some Autotechnica mesh grille material online somewhere and i love the way it turned out, blacked the grille out and love the way it looks.

No he doesn't. Did, now doesn't. Please don't install it if you care about your engine longevity. As far as mirrors, you can get mirror covers at Evo-R or find Craft Square mirrors.

I agree with everyone else on price. Hindsight is 20/20 but $20K for an 04 with 30K is a lot. I saw an 04 Grand Touring with 18K miles for $18K last year. Sorry to relay the bad news. Next time come to the forum first. There is a buying forum.

Got my B-pilars today, there real. I couldn't find anything for that price here in washington. It KBB'd for 22k. Got really bad news tho. I got in a hit and run accident, I was driving home from my borthers house, it was snowing and starting to get kinda slushy. guy driving in a forest green ford explorer swerved into my lane so i backed off and changed lanes and was gonna pass him when he came back and clipped the front left section of my car, spun me off the road at about 40. He keeps driving!... I hit the only thing in site on the side of the fricken road. A big concrete block smashed the whole side in, and The curb took the front wheel off... So im sitting it out. been a sad week fellas.
