I can see attached images on some posts yet not on others. I am not talking about getting the red x when a hosted link is broken but just that I see "person x has attached this image" yet I see nothing. There are replies that have people commenting on ther image so I know they have seen it.
As a matter of fact, I just noticed that I can't see all of the smiles at the left either yet I can point my mouse on them and the cursor changes and shows the description of each as if it was there.
Odd huh? Any ideas?
I don't have this problem on any of the other forums that I visit.
Thanks,
Kirk (who still has fond memories of his weekend long RX-8 test drive)

I have same problem
just exit the site (close explorer or whatever you use) and then go back to the site. Usually fixed.

Yeah, I tried that today but with no luck Just kind of find it odd that it only seems to be happening on this site. I am on the web all day and only run into it here. I just wanto to see the pics :(
I do see all of the smilies now though so I will take a look at some of the threads with pics to see if I can see them.
Thanks guys.

Since the forum had a make over recently, it seems to break IE after a bit of extensive use. IE wont then fetch all the images from other sites either, continuing to spin the globe for ever. You need to shut all open browser windows to cure it.
The other solution is to use any other browser.

Thanks Dave. I am so used to having multiple browser windows open that it never occured to me to shut them all down. It seems to have cleared up since I refreshed earlier but I haev already seen it slow down. Since I won't be changing browsers, I guess I will just have to only have this site open when I want to read it.
Thanks,
Kirk

Same problem here. Must be a programming error specific to this site. Glad to know it's not some problem with my computer. I was beginning to suspect one of the many Windows Update patches that are designed to stick another finger in the dyke.

No, the problem lies with Internet Explorer v 6.x . Try closing all browser windows then reopening them.
