i tried to start my car this morning and it wouldnt start i thought it was the battery so i got a jump start and that didnt work also someone told me that it might be that the voltage isnt being regulated anyone know what the issue might be

i forgot to mention that it actually attempts to start because i hear the exhaust and after that it just wont turn over

What Year is your rx8 and how many clicks?

Anyway, sounds like you flooded it. Try the de-flood start procedure (7-20 in your manual):

Starting a Flooded Engine
If the engine fails to start, it may be
flooded (excessive fuel in the engine).
Follow this procedure:
1. Depress the accelerator all the way and
hold it there.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the START
position and hold it there―for up to 10
seconds. If the engine starts, release the
key and accelerator immediately
because the engine will suddenly rev
up.
3. If the engine fails to start, crank it
without depressing the accelerator―for
up to 10 seconds.

If the above does'nt work, pull out your fuel pump fuse. Try to start it for about 5 minutes, put the fuse back in, then try to start it again. It didnt work the first time for me, but after about 30 minutes or so, it started. Hope that helps

i got my car back tonight and basically what they found out was that were i got my oil changed at they had put the wrong oil into my car and he recommends that i change my spark plugs because it may not be detonating properly
