View Full Version : Anyone in Texas received $500 Debit card yet!
Parmer8 10-30-2003, 11:37 AM For those that qualified for the $500 debit card from Mazda, have you received the card yet? Others have received theirs (in other states) but I'm wondering if Mazda is sending the cards out to certain regions first. People have said the envelope marking is nondiscreet. I just hope I didn't accidently throw mine away by mistake.
Got mine last week.

khoney 10-30-2003, 09:11 PM Not yet, although I didn't mail the response until about a week before it was due.
allstate 10-31-2003, 09:02 AM Got it? I've almost already SPENT it. ;)
DoobyWho 10-31-2003, 10:38 AM I havn't gotten mine yet either, but like others have said, I was one of the last to respond.
boowana 10-31-2003, 10:40 AM I recived mine early last week. I will probably put it towards an extended warranty.:p
I've had mine for about 10 days.
DoobyWho 11-10-2003, 02:28 PM still have yet to get it.
rx8fanatic 11-11-2003, 09:09 AM I got mine. Have not used it though. There are a bunch of rules and you can get screwed if you use it wrong (i.e. you debit more than the remaining balance so they negate the card etc.). Also, supposedly not all merchants can take the debit card even though it is AMEX.
allstate 11-11-2003, 12:11 PM Spent all ofmine...very easy to use. No problems with anyone accepting the card.
Damn, I got my RX on 11/5..what are we talking about?
NYT-OWL 11-13-2003, 12:04 AM Got mine about a month ago. It's almost all spent by now. I know this for a fact, Hooter's has no problem taking the card.
DoobyWho 11-19-2003, 09:53 AM *yawn* stilll waiting. called mazda and they said it might be another 2 weeks.
tkemory 12-08-2003, 12:20 PM Got mine, its almost used up.
Have not had any problems yet using it. There is a website that you can use to check the balance. Just be responsible and you shouldn't have any problems overcharging it.
hoffa 12-16-2003, 08:43 PM got mine like 2weeks ago
RX-jimenez 01-13-2004, 02:02 AM what is this about 500???? it was a special or what??
eccles 01-13-2004, 09:19 AM It was part of the deal for those that bought their RX-8 before the quoted horsepower was revised, and who opted to keep the car. If you didn't buy before October of last year, it doesn't apply.
SilverTrigger 01-13-2004, 09:16 PM I sent my response in a week late, and they refuse to give me my debit card. GIANT hassle. My fault, but they were not interested in working with me a little.

Was October 31st the cutoff or was it the end of November?
Thanks, Lewis
eccles 02-01-2004, 04:33 PM As I said, it was "before October." From memory the cutoff date was September 26th.
brentspeck 02-01-2004, 04:52 PM how do u know if u are suppose to get one?
eccles 02-01-2004, 05:08 PM If you ordered before the cutoff, you would have gotten a letter from Mazda offering you the choice of returning the car for a full refund, or receiving a $500 gift car and free routine maintenance for the duration of the standard warranty.
If you want more information, dig back through the RX8 Discussion forum, or use the search function - it was discussed to death back at the time. Here's the thread that broke the story. (http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9347)
Last_D8 02-04-2004, 08:06 AM Could someone that's dealt with late delivery of cashcard and
service card by "calling Mazda" give me the correct telephone
number and department/person to talk to?
Thanks, Mark
