Sup gang I'm new to the forum and I'll be purchasing my RX-8 in about 3 months but I need to do some homework first. Could someone please give me a resource with reviews for vertical doors. I've checked out a ton of companies but I plan on getting the best so I'm coming to people who would know. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Vertical doors shouldn't be your first mod! It just looks really weird.

vertical doors on a stock 8 might look a bit weird.

There's a few people on this board that have vertical doors, I might suggest trying the search function towards the top of the screen. Do an advanced search for vertical doors and you might find a few threads on them.
There are a few different companies that make kits for our cars, some are bolt on and some are welded.

Hope you find what you're looking for. BTW: if you wait a little longer, you might be able to get the new facelifted RX-8. (search for facelifted RX-8; long thread with pics)

when the first guy to respond to your post has verticle doors on his car and tells you not to do it as your first mod, you should listen to that man.

I have the LSD Kit for my 2004 8 It cost around 2300 the kit, but it is worth it. If ur wondering why so much ask around body shops and they will agree that it is the best. One question is the car used for everyday use or show. If its for every day then the LSD door kit is for you. If just for show, only!!!! I recommend the kit from andysautosport.com it around 600 bucks but...... it blows in the modding section you have to mod the sh*t out of it since it universal. THe instalation is around 900-1100. I say mod as u please dont listen to anyone but yourself and wallet. Real cars are built not bought!

ha, its funny: vertical doors were pretty much my first mod. first exterior mod anyway. it kinda worked out in my favour though.. since the exterior is bone stock noone expects the vertical doors, so they always catch people off guard. more often than not i have people (noone in the car community) believing that its a factory option and that mine is a special edition.

I'm stationed here in Ft. Riley kansas, and I have a set of lambo vertical doors, but can not find anyone here to install them. Is there anybody in the state of kansas who can install them please let me know when and how much it will cost.
