i got my first speeding tix in nj, i heard from someone that they dont drop the points down to 0 any more. can anyoen shed some light on this? long story short, i was stupid for speeding thro the ez pass lane going into the holland tunnel. i know the HOLLAND TUNNEL! i was warned like a billion times!

Chances are they will not always go with a good lawyer if you need one i know of a very good one.

i was going thro the ezpass to go into the holland tunnel, i was going 48 when i was suppose to go 15. i kno i kno kinda fast but i thought 15 was just a suggestion! lol but the officer wrote down 44 mph so it wouldnt go into the next bracket of penalty/fines

WOW!!! .. Umm, I highly doubt they will drop it down to zero... See if they could drop it to a non moving violation. Is this your first ticket? and... Do they have PJC or prayer for judgement in NJ?

yea my first ticket in 4 years, prior to this i had a reckless driving but that was a while ago.

Itll drop, you just have to pay extra. I was doing 44 in a 25, got a 180$ ticket, and it was like 4 points. I ended up paying 500$, but I left with no points, and I didnt need a lawyer. I live in NJ too.

jus tell the prosecutor that you would like the speeding ticket lowered to a non moving violation ticket..You are allowed to use this 1 time every 3 years. DO NOT GET A LAWYER FOR THIS PETTY SPEEDING TICKET. GET A LAWYER WHEN U GET PULLED OVER FOR 106MPH IN A 65MPH ZONE ..LOL.
but not a big problem for a first ticket , theyll go lightly and dont make ne excuses when ur there, theyll shyt on ur face and look at u as a criminal lol..
