I was lapping at Sebring today and got this quick footage of a WS6 which I pointed by (rare to see an LS1 F-bod out there). In my couple years of track days, I haven't followed anyone with such a late apexing line as his through this part of the circuit:

The contrast interests me, as I basically sold my LS1 powered Camaro SS three years ago to begin lapping at track days. Decided it was too powerful (at 460rwhp) and went from a WRX Wagon to the RX8. Anyhow, I thought the differing lines made for an interesting footage. We all know how well our cars brake and turn.

On another note, my left hand was really busy today, pointing by most everything
powered by Porsche and BMW (it was a Porsche BMW owners club track day). Our cars really need about 50 more ponies.

Things of note from today:

-New Dunlop Z1's grip really well and provide excellent sidewall stiffness. No greasiness during the 30 minute sessions (4 for the day).

-I've outdone the HP Plus as a track day pad. Must begin swapping in race pads for track days.

-Speedbleeders can fail at the track.

-TPMS is wonderful (caught a valve stem leak).

-Check Oil and Coolant lights come on Turns 1 and 17 at Sebring despite both being topped off.

Can you elaborate on your experiences with Speedbleeders? This and a few other posts I've read recently have me wondering if I should take them off of my car.

 

I've never had a problem with them, but in reality you can one-man bleed a standard/OE bleeder so I just saved the money

 

I'd like to hear about this also as I have them on my car...

If I continue to use them, I'll be swapping the set of four out once a year from now on as regular maintenance. I was first warned about speedbleeders being prone to break by a reputable subie shop.

 

Yikes! I'm glad I caught this thread.

I didn't know thay may have problems at the track.

 

I just crunched some video laptimes and I'm running 2:45 consistantly. Dipped into 2:44 once. 4 visits ago to Sebring, I was running low 2:50's. So, seat time really makes a difference.

The biggest drop in time came 3 visits ago, when a friend of mine showed me the momentum line. It dropped times by about 5 seconds.
