Hello fellow RX-8 community, have I got a new product for all of you! A company called ShiftStyle makes them, and they are very high quality. I chose a black alcantera with blue stitching. It fit perfectly and was shipped in an appropriate package. The holes were in the proper location for mounting it, and the stitching was very nice. Once you take a look at the pictures, you will know why I like this boot so much. It also looks sick with the MS shift knob I have :ylsuper: !

The nice thing about ShiftStyle is that they will make any configuration for you, whether you want CF look, leather, different color stitching, whatever. I'll let ShiftStyle talk about their own work more than I just did, just wait till the weekend is over.

Looks awesome Big Red. Good job you volunteered to take one off their hands to model for the community. I would have done the same if my 8 wasn't 1000kms from where I am all winter lol.

big red - what is that little button/circle on the top right between your shifter and ashtray? a shift diagram? and how hard was install i'm def interested in one...

install was stupidly easy. i am an idiot when it comes to installing but it was very simple. that is a shift diagram, and it came with the ms shift knob. my dad doesnt have the best memory because he drives a 911 with reverse on the left, so i put it there to remind him :). It was nice to have it on the stock shifter, but nicer with the ms. i like it!

I like that shift knob better too...lol. I like how the boot I have though is more customizable and you can get it in alcantera. It is really up to the person who buys it.

Yes, Polak is a reseller for Redlinegoods, so the black/black is the same. No short shifter though, just stock, although if you go through Redlinegoods' site they do have more options, such as specifying a short shifter and how much shorter you would like your boot. They also have many colors (not pink though, sorry) and different materials such as alcantara and carbon fiber look vinyl as well as different stitch options such as double and tripple stitch. I'm not sure how much BigRed's ran him, but mine was around $45.

Got mine from ShiftStyle on Friday, installed over the weekend. Black Alcantra with Grey stitching. It's got a nice feel to the touch and classes it up a bit IMO.
