PRICE DROP FS: Used JIC full Titanium Catback

Genuine full titanium JIC-Magic catback exhaust (the super light/expensive one) for sale:

Price: $500 OBO - Lifted the car this past weekend - connecting piping also has some dents I didn't know about. Would have been discovered eventually, saddens me to the thought that such a great exhaust. SoCal ppl are more likely interested because you can see/hear/drive a car with it.

Good: Amazing sound, Amazing looks, Amazingly lightweight, oOohH JdM

Bad: Exhaust got dented up - I've asked around and was told it wouldn't effect it whatsoever, also may or may not be repaired, I see no reason you would need to though - not the reason I am selling

Reason for sale: Call me silly but I wish to go single exit exhaust, contrary to the majority, I prefer the aesthetics of a single exit exhaust on an import car like the rx8

Media: Here's a video from when the exhaust was first installed - minus the CAI. Truly sounds amazing now, if you're in socal and are interested or just want to hear it let me know! I will attempt to take/post pics tomorrow as well.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRof5...eature=related

Terms: SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ONLY I am a student at UC Irvine and therefor have noplace to take the exhaust off. If you purchase you agree to help take it off, install the HKS single, and I'll help you install the JIC. I guess this isn't mandatory but would be nice :D

Soooooo, I ask you fine men and women of rx8club, who will be the next to own the $1760 MSRP exhaust?

edit: Will also trade for HKS + cash

Got everyone's PM's sorry guys, only interested in either $$ or trade for HKS single + cash.

I'm going to go pick up my brake pads today and will post picturas once I return. And yes, shipping could be worked out given the buyer pays for full shipping charges, I was just going for the socal market first.

This exhaust is perfect for those of you who want an exhaust that is quiet, but still able to make some noise when you want. Cruising it is almost unnoticable. It is a much deeper, better sound all around. Oh, and a new one has an msrp of $1900 and I had to wait months for mine to come in.

I'll get pics up later today guys :D

Sorry guys, not interested in another dual exhaust setup

j8635621 is 100% right - amazing sound, not too loud, no drone - pretty much perfect. Not only that but the texture of the sound is somehow more refined than any other rx8 exhausts I've heard, probably due to the titanium piping.

I will update again later tongiht

-Matt

Sorry team, I've had many PMs and I wanted pics of the dent to be up just as clarification - I think today I've got around 12PMs and I'm trying to respond to them in here so I don't have to copy them all over. I'll respond to your most recent one right now...

Here are the pics, I tried to get the dent as best I could. Its pretty much centered in the canister. Also, I have the money in the bank to purchase the other system and will have access to space/tools the weekend after this so I will be willing to ship (if not already sold by means easier).

Dent came from a mini rock avalanche covering the last 1/3 of a turn on a highway - covered the entire stretch of the highway and braking that hard mid turn wasn't exactly an option. Rock got popped up by my cat and the rest is history...

I was told it wouldn't effect anything (because that was my initial thought). For those of you still interested (which there seem to be a few) keep in mind the price is OBO so I'm not exactly stuck on my asking price - make me an offer!

Thanks for all the PMs guys, feel free to ask any questions (another sound clip, video of the exhaust to better show the condition, photos); anything you want and I'll try to accommodate!

I have a question.. is the jic unit piping a straight pipe or did you choose the resonator option? Interested..

it's a rear cat-back muffler assembly, not a mid/cat pipe

Can you tell me what the system weighs? I would also like a better picture of the dent. I can't make it out in the pics that you have.

I'll do my best on the pics...

I've had a few offers of $400 and will likely be taking one of them. One last bump I guess for an OBO...

Oh and you can see some of the denting in the piping in the 3rd pic, there is a tad more just like that just out of sight if I remember correctly.

With all the its still an amazingly light system with an amazing sound that I haven't heard replicated.

Is this a bolt-on replacement for the stock catback (no cutting/welding)? Is it off the car yet (would you consider shipping?)
