Unfortunately it's not a store that I found them in.......I actually saw them in the common mall area.

They are not for sale. They are public garbage cans located all around the mall.

if you look inside the can you should be able to find out who makes them. Just lift off the lid, take out the bag and find a sticker in there somewhere. WE ALL MUST BUY THESE!

What would be even more funny, is if someone caught you stealing it and they came up to you as you were walking away and asked, "you have an RX-8, don't you?" and smiled.

Would we have to continuously oil the seals? And could we use synthetic? More research required, not to mention a zillion threads. ;)

I wonder how many you could swipe before someone realized what was goin on. I propose a joint effort, get like 10 friends together (one with a truck), strategically placed throughout the mall, and do one quick swipe timed up simultaneosly. You could even where janitor type clothing and act like you are taking it to be emptied and just bounce! LOL

Or you could use a methodic approach and go in and jack one every weekend until you have a few. Just watch out though, that mall security staff may get wise and set up a sting op on yo ass!! Man that would be embarassing, getting pinched for stealing a mall waste basket.

People looked at me kind of strange because I stopped, looked at the garbage can and said "cooool" out loud. To cement their opinions I walked away humming a rotary engine note. "Hmmmmmmmmmmmm."

Yep there was one right by the entrance near Cheesecake factory.

they have a rotor shaped garbage can in one of the malls in san jose, ca. Eastridge to be exact, i saw it and i told my gf, hey, thats a rotor... i have those in my car.. haha

Someone needs to check with the office at one of these malls and find out what company sells them.

How are they going to charge $1100 for a trash can?!! You put trash in it! I was thinking more like $50 max... Geez.

The ones they put in comercial places are rugged as hell. Warrantied against corrosion, damage, etc.
