WTB: Piano Black Center Console Inserts

If anyone has them, I'm looking to buy some piano black (like in the shinka) side pieces of the center console. PM me with your price. I only want them if they're in perfect condition, though. I'm located in 07719

I have an extra console so I probably have what you're looking for. The only part I don't have is the half-moon piece below the volume ****. Just send a pic with an arrow so I know what exactly you want

The siver pieces do not separate from the console.

You may be better off overlaying vinyl like some guys have done with the carbon fiber.

So you're saying the shinkas have a different center console completely? seems like a major waste of money.. Damn, I really wanted either piano black, or white ones. Guess I'll just keep my silver ones...

They're pricey for a new set. New front assembly: $372.44, as it's all one piece. $264.50 for both rear sides. Granted that's the price from a dealer for new pieces.

holy crap.. maybe I'll just buy some silver ones and have them painted at a body shop with some automotive paint.. that will probably hold up better than the real ones, and cost half as much!

You can get black spraypaint for plastics (kryon [sp?]) and you can spray it on yourself. Just do the usual 3 coats (+ clearcoat if you want) and you should be fine. Pretty much the same thing as painting your emblems piano black.

any time i spraypaint something it looks like.. well.. like i spraypainted it. I think an auto body shop would do a much better job, and I could get the color I actually want - White!!!

And if they clearcoat it, it won't stain, and it'll be real hard and scratch resistant. perrrrrrrrrrrrfect

The secret is wet sanding and prepping before painting and during.

Any scratches you can see will show more when you paint it.

Light coats

Prime, wet sand, prime, wet sand, paint, wet sand, paint, clear, clear, wet sand, buff.
