If you have ever odered tickets or used allposters.com look out for the Reservation Rewards scam. I'm pretty good at watching out for this type of stuff but somehow they got me. I reported it to my CC company and then called RW to cancel the account. Here's an article by consumer reports that calls em' out. http://www.consumerwebwatch.org/dynamic/ecommerce-investigation-webloyalty.cfm

wow. That's crap.

The guy they qoute in the linked article is absolutely right - this type of practice is going to screw consumer confidence. So we not only have to worry about scams, but now it's a "read every single line" of a monsterous privacy policy, which will include - only at the end, mind you - a blurb about how they just may transfer your personal & credit info?? d-bags.

So did you have any problems w/refund to your card?

They asked for an email address to receive a $10 discount on my purchase. I bit on it but the discount never happened! What did was a $10 charge on my CC. I always read the fine print and it said nothing about the charge. Luckily I pay off my card every month and double check the charges. My money is being refunded. Just watch out if you see the add appear on your purchase.

I got hit for $70 in the last seven months. Call my bank and got their number 800-732-7031.

I talked to the rep and explained that I wanted a refund, that the company is well-known for committing fraudulent business practices, and to cancel my "supposed" membership.

The rep "claims" that I will be refunded $70, my membership has been cancelled, and then sent this email confirmation of this. I hope this pans out.

Wow that is just wow. How can they not get in shit for following through with the $10 rebate? Is that not false advertising?

EBGames website did the same thing to me. Credit company fought it and refunded.
