Rmor has it...
Like a lot of others have said though, the development is still early so all we can do is wait.
I know exactly what my next car is going to be though when they do come out with the DI 16x...

With so many threads on the same subjects, was not sure where to post this......
"Work on a new rotary engine began in earnest last year. What Mazda calls the RENESIS 16X is 23 percent larger in displacement and 20 percent lighter, thanks to a switch from iron to aluminum for the three side housings. More eccentricity is aimed at shifting peak torque lower in the rev range. Direct fuel injection and additional displacement should boost output to 275HP or more."

This car is real!
I can confirm this as I told them to look out for it in Las Vegas.
I suppose it's been long enough to tell you it was here in Phoenix too. I missed seeing it by about 10 minutes. It was to fast. I was told not to say anything at that point in time as to it's location. Mazda asked for quite.
The car has been in the Las Vegas area for about a week now.
They will not open the hood on the car. It has a hood lock. So I heard from my sources.
It is scheduled to come back to Phoenix after the Detroit show in January.
I hope to get some pics by then.
So listen to Dom as he is right.
