For the first time I attempted to alter teh DSC control. Whilst I had anticipated 3 settings (as per the RX8 booklet issued by Mazda) ON, OFF1 and OFF2, I find only on or OFF.

is this a fault with my car or some spec change

Maybe 10 seconds... and you seen to habe to restart the engine to revert.

OFF1 turns off DSC.

OFF2 turns off DSC and TSC. This mode requires the "DSC OFF" button to be held down for >8 seconds. If you go this far the only way to reset it is to turn the engine off and start up again.

I always drive with DSC and TSC off, unless the road is wet. Better fuel economy apparently, and certainly more fun!
