Speedometer Readout

Well I've seen several pictures through the web and this site where the readout says 000. does that stay as you go up in speed? say 046 or 008? mine only shows 0 but I like the look of the 000. Is this a model year designation or a setable option?

It was probably a concept photo prior to the actual relase of the RX-8. As far as i know, none of the RX-8 produced for the US....has 3 zeros.....only one. I think it would bug me if i saw 3 zeros. would make me want to do 100 everytime i get in the car

Having 3 zeros = twice as likely to speed just to see the 1 in the first digit of the speedometer
