Got about $1500 to spend on the wives RX8 for Christmas time and wanna throw some things on it while she is out of town in Vegas to surprise her when she gets back. Dont have much time to wait on shipping since she will be back in a week or so. Let me know!

 

You could go to Rotary Perfomance and get pretty much anything they have on their website: exhaust, mid pipe, supercat, air diversion panel, ect......If she doesnt have aftermarket exhaust the greddy SP2 w/supercat would be a cool gift.

 

Got the SuperCat From them. So the Greddy SP2 sounds good with the cat? That is my worry. I want it to sound legit. No Crazy Bee Can sounds. Didnt see the Air Diversion Panel. Going to my moms in Garland today. Might have to just stop by and see what all they have. Guessing they dont sell an intake yet huh?

 

I've heard Brian's car up close with the greddy and supercat and I think it sounds good, I didn't hear any bee can effects off of it.

 

The Greddy Sp2 w/ supercat is NOT quiet by any means. Does it sound buzzy or ricey, no it doesnt. But i would say it is louder than most. Go to their website: www.rx7.com

LoL not looking for quiet. So that will work for me. Sounds fairly decent on the Site. Gonna go up there next week and talk to them. Drop the car off or something to get it all done.

Now just need an intake and Shifter! Damn after Building a Solstice and SRT-4 sucks to start on another car completely. Too much money can go into these things way toooo fast!!!

They prob wont install for you, they are always behind in RX-7 work. If they can fit you in they would charge you an arm and a leg.

I went to this small mom and pop garage just a lil ways from RP (in the Garland "old" downtown area) and the guy put my supercat and exhaust on for $40. I cant recall the name of it, but ask RP guys i think they may know. It was somewhere close to the old courthouse. Either way, just buy the exhaust there and take the car to some exhaust shop/small mechanic shop and they will put on lift and have it on in minutes for way cheaper.

Forget the intake man, seriously, only thing its really good for is making the sound from the engine bay a lil louder. Unlike many other cars, an intake on the 8 doesnt amount to ***** in performance gains, 1-2 horse at peak rpms if ur lucky. Use that money for AFE short shifter.

Shoot the intake isnt for the horsepower gains. This is the wives car. Cant make them fast anyways. Damn woman would kill herself if she had anymore power. I had a turbo on it for almost a month and it scared the hell outta me riding with her in the car. So I took it off and didnt wanna do anything else to the car ever and blew it on our solstice. Now she wants something for it and I figured Id get her a few things.

 

I'm planning on making a custom exhaust this winter. If you're interested in a Racing Beat Race exhaust let me know and I can hurry up and get it done.

 

boo get something else besides a greddy! try a borla, they sound pretty sweet with a regular cat. i have the supercat sp2 setup. its a little loud and the sound would probably sound better with a borla id think. maybe i just want a borla. lol

Not too exciting but I do have 12 quarts of Idemitsu 10W30 performance rotary oil and two OEM oil filters sitting in my garage. If you were to buy this stuff new it would be well over $100. I'll let it go for $65 just to move it.

I also have two OEM 18" tires with about 60% tread life.
