... so if I marry and have 20 kids, they're going to tell me that's more efficient than two separate households of one?

The 'greenies' bottom line is always ".....the less people, the better - people are a cancer on the planet."

Couldn't even get past the first sentence.

B/c the biggest concern a family with relationship issues should have is how much extra energy they'll be using.

OMFG just STFU with the green extremist crap!!!

I'm sure that extra household will use a ton of energy when compared to, I don't know, a large factory of some sort?

Divorce would definitely be bad for MY immediate environment.

Environmental issues completely aside, no guy wants to lose half his stuff!

only time this happens is if they are state recognized marriages as far as property goes. a divorce before 7 years of marriage in michigan. property is pretty much what is hers is hers and his is his. so as long as you havent bought a bunch of stuff TOGETHER, dont really lose anything. married 1.5 years, I didnt lose a thing but my house (which was lost to the bank).

I've been married for 20+ years. She'd get half of everything. I live in Utah.

The house is paid-for so we'd each get half of the proceeds, or one would have to buy the other out.

Fortunately she puts up with me rather admirably. :)

^Some women give up everything when going through childbirth (job, career, etc) so I guess it's only fair... ;)

Actually Leesha, I pretty much wrote what I meant.

Not being a woman, I can only speak from a male perspective. And I wouldn't want any of my wife's stuff anyway. She could keep it all.

She'd want my stuff to sell on eBay.

Pfft, there will always be hippies.

If I were to ruin my rear bumper with a bumper sticker, it would certainly say:

"Buy a hybrid - I need your gas"

You know, if my '07 8 continues to depreciate the way the '04's and '05's have, that just might be true, unfortunately.

But she could probably get a complete outfit just for my Tull vinyl collection... :)

Cow farts are far more environmentally destructive. If we really truly want to save our planet an immediate bovine butt plug plan must be implemented.

Naw, she'd only get 1/5th. Utah would make him divide it equally among ALL the wives.
