So, pepe, does that mean you have curbed your left rear wheel? Me, too, and no spare! Am now living in fear of runaway shopping trolley (next most common damage experience!) :eek:

Haha, my secret story I've not shared on here... I wish it was just the rear wheel... I pushed in the panel that runs along under the door, wasn't real bad, about $500 to fix, but problem is, the repair they did was sh*thouse... had it back about half a dozen times, not only did they screw the repair, but they also put a bunch of scratches on it when they polished it... they've been good about trying to fix it, otherwise, I would already have a lawyer on this issue

Oh, it'll be there, again, next monday... with all the dramas with my car (both Mazda & the repair fiasco) my car has been off the road for about 3.5 weeks out of the 10 I've owned it.

I am sure Winning have a manual DSC like mine.... :D

I drive the Lotus Elise once with no ABS no DSC nothing... it sticks like hell and you just need to be skillful and get better suspension mods.

I think you'd have a lot more to worry about than a chipped rim, if you curbed it on the rear right, as you'd either be on the wrong side of the road, or facing the wrong way.

The last time I had an accident when playing with rain, my car ended up just 20 cms from a big furniture shop display window. Car went up the kerb, snap both of the left wheels and suspensions off. No Panel damage though.

Lesson that I learned; Only play in the rain when it still raining, don't drift and/or counter steer when there is no more rain. When the rain stop, roads condition are very unpredictable, some dry spots are very dangerous as you can have an instant traction.:mad: :mad: :mad:

However as i often say ,

I too have had fun in the rain, even with DSC off the car tends to think the road is dry.

One time though, I had DSC on, and that fact probably saved the car from some serious damage. If I was driving my last car (current shape Celica) I think I would have lost it.

I was driving from Kersbrook in the Adelaide Hills to the Barossa Valley (Williamstown) about 2 weeks after I got the car. It was about 9am on a Sunday morning, and raining heavily. No traffic anywhere and a good winding road. I was enjoying myself immensely.

Then I came to a 45 kph corner (the ones I normally take at 80). The corner was negative camber, and there was a 4 metre band of orange slush streaming across the road. The entire area in that part of the world is mostly clay, so the slush was fine particles of clay pouring across the road in a little orange river.

I hit the corner, the DSC light was going beserk on the dash, and the car dug in and carried me through with no small amount of slide involved. In a lesser car, or with DSC switched off, I imagine I would have slid straight off sideways into a 3 metre tall clay embankment at over 60 kph.

I hope you have the easy clean leather seats :)
