Couple questions about the RX-8 Mazdaspeed dual sport muffler

I'm looking to buy the following exhaust for my 2006 6MT RX-8:

I have a few questions...

1) Mazdaspeed claims this dual exhaust is lighter than the factory unit. How much does the factory catback weigh? Has anyone weighed the Mazdaspeed dual muffler exhaust?

2) Has anyone done any before and after dynos pulls with this exhaust? I imagine the gains are minimal, but it would still be interesting to see the results.

Thanks!

Well from Racing Beat's website, it appears the stock catback weighs 39lbs (http://racingbeat.com/resultset.asp?partnumber=16396). Has anyone weighed the Mazdaspeed dual muffler exhaust?

The MS exhaust weighs 33lbs according to https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-racing-25/weight-stock-rx8-parts-81791/
and hp wise you will see maybe 3whp

~3whp gain was about what I was expecting. I'm a bit surprised the 'lightweight' MS dual muffler still weighs 33lbs, but lighter-than-stock is good enough for me.

I'll be using it for daily driving - for autocross a custom single exit exhaust will be fitted.

Thanks!

Thanks. I haven't purchased it yet, but will be getting one around Xmas. Seems like Mazdamotorsports has the lowest price on it...

Are you already sporting a single? Or is this something you plan on doing later on?

I have the factory exhaust currently. My plan is to get a single exit exhaust made for autocross use only in the next 5-6 months (i.e. sometime before Solo Nationals in Sept '08).

Independent of this autocross-only-exhaust, I would like to have a deeper sounding exhaust on my car 24/7.
