I'm trying to buy an RX-8 and would like to know what performance difference there are between RX-8 GT, Touring and Sport. All Manual. Limited Slip? Strut Bars? Sway Bars? Bigger brakes?
Thanks

View Full Version : Difference between 2004 RX-8 GT Vs Sport? Soravia 11-28-2007, 05:06 PM I'm trying to buy an RX-8 and would like to know what performance difference there are between RX-8 GT, Touring and Sport. All Manual. Limited Slip? Strut Bars? Sway Bars? Bigger brakes? Thanks chrism 11-28-2007, 06:02 PM performance meaning what?.....its mostly cosmetic with the exception of dsc and traction control Vegaz_Nightz 11-28-2007, 06:12 PM pretty much the only difference is simple upgrades like heated seats, moonroof, navigation system, bose audio system, leather seats.. as far as performance .. an auto is an auto and a stick is a stick... you get the base model you'll weigh a bit less than the touring.. those upgrades is added weight.. its up to you Soravia 11-28-2007, 06:40 PM Thanks. I'll just take whatever then, except the Auto-tragic. It sounds like Touring and GT has Sunroof and Sport doesn't? It there a quick way to tell? Vegaz_Nightz 11-28-2007, 06:54 PM just check the options on the 8.. in a picture you can see the window on the roof.. thats how you can tell... i got the full package except for navigation 4me2 11-28-2007, 06:55 PM price Soravia 11-28-2007, 07:36 PM Most dealers over-price the cars so much it ain't even funny. Like a $14K 2004 Auto for $17K and OPTIONAL DEALER WARRANTY that has the same length as the Mazada Factory Warranty. Soravia 11-28-2007, 07:56 PM Touring and GT has moon-roof and Sport doesn't, giving it extra 2 inches of head room over the GT and Touring. 2" of head room is good for a driving helmet. I'm taking a Sport MT. I also like the fabric seats from Sport more than leather. |
