Hello all...

I'm new to the group, plus I'm a ROTO-ROOKIE. I just got my first RX-8 and was looking to spice up the rear-end. Has anyone installed the Mazdaspeed Rear Defuser? The only picture on their site doesn't show the ends where it meets the existing bumper. I'm assuming that it replaces all of the NON-body color bits.

Thanks for any input and/or suggestions on other rear-ends.

Cheers!
Eagle

Ooops... I think I posted in the wrong area. I meant to post in the general area.

Sorry,

I saw the pictures at that link, but wasn't sure if that is the same. The pictures I've seen have the center (most of the part) as the "gun metal grey". Is that the same part but completely painted in body color?

I was at the dealer today and they don't even supply the thing with the body colored bits in Phantom Blue. I'd have to get the ends painted locally. If the whole thing is "paintable", I'd probably do that too.

Thanks in advance,
Eagle

prim. kit is cheaper
but you can get painted from mazdaspeed dealers
and yes the rear diffuser usually is a gun metal color *actually the evo's dark grey color*
but you see.. kane painted it
RECOMMENDATION:get the whole kit if youre gonna get it, or at least get kit too

Yep - mine is painted. CrisM used to have the normal two tone style rear - can look for pictures of that if you want.

I like the single color look WAY better.

Cool... I just noticed yours was Phantom Blue as well.

So, no problems with the paint job on the "gun metal grey" parts? I suppose and good paint man can do anything with anything, eh?

Nah - you'll end up with it unpainted anyway if you have PB - since they don't carry it painted. Good Body Shop is KEY!
