View Full Version : Pro Pics of my RX8 on track
syntrix 10-21-2003, 11:03 PM I ordered these two in 8x10 to start with:
http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventorder?photo=01Y8007X030188&adjust=-1&d=1
and....
http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventorder?photo=01Y8007X030161&adjust=-1&d=1
the one above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I actually requested this one instead:
http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventorder?photo=01Y8007X030162&start=0&album=0&adjust=-1&d=1
Little better focus and framing on the pic. Can't wait to get them.
hehe, good closeups, but It still doesn't show the traffic way behind me ;)
FWIW, the track was http://www.bragg-smith.com a very technical, close track
syntrix 10-21-2003, 11:32 PM Thanks again to Mark, the photographer!
If you need his services, he's MLP Imaging, 909-735-4122 Good stuff for sure, and his roots are in karting! He's west coast based.
I just talked to him for about 1/2 hour and he's a great guy to talk to!
Judge Ito 10-22-2003, 10:06 AM nice color
Sneakyracer 10-22-2003, 08:25 PM I have yet to see that color around here. Looks really really cool.

Yeah, track time is sweet!
Buttonwillow in Jan, Back to pahrump in March, and who knows after that!
spdspappy 11-03-2003, 04:51 PM Sweet! Nice helmet, where did u get it? Do you have any pics? I'm trying to find one that matches my car and it looks like yours does...
halfon 11-03-2003, 06:04 PM What did you learn about your RX-8 that you did not know before?
What did you learn about handling the RX-8 at high speeds that you did not know before ?
Will this help you in your daily driving or only on the track to beat other cars ?
How is that they let you use your car instead of the corvette ?

Helmet is a racer-1 by KBC. It's one of my motorcycle helmets.
The blue is very common across almost all bike helmets, hit up a good bike shop (usually not a bike dealer) and they will have a huge selection of helmets there.
I just prefer the full helmet, others like the 3/4 helmet.
spdspappy 11-03-2003, 07:55 PM Thanks

I should mention that I have many years of track experience.
My experience with cheese is many years, too, but it's mostly with store bought types of cheese.
I found the limits of the 8 on the street before going to the track.
At the track, I could practice more advanced techniques that would be dangerous on public roads.... ie drifting at less than 100 mph.
halfon 11-09-2003, 06:43 AM Thanks for your answer about driving on the track.
Since you have so much experience, one more question.
I am 56 years old.
Should I enroll in a high speed class to improve my driving skills or with my reflexes, slower than a younger person, I might become a danger to myself and others on the track, and driving with possible misguided more confidence, on the road ?
Thanks
