I've never driven an 8 with an aftermarket SS, is the change noticeable/dramatic? I mean I think the stock SS is pretty good, but i guess it would help to drive an 8 that has one installed. thnx in advanced

While the stock shifter is pretty good. The short shifter is a very good mod for the price and they aren't kidding about rifle bolt action. The throw is only about 20% less, and I really do like mine.

it's awesome. it's the singlemost bang for the buck mod I've put on my car. the stock shifter was good, but the AFSS makes it perfect.
