i was in the same boat, i got a ipod touch and love it, no regrets even tho the zune had like 10x more storage...16 gigs is more than enough for me, i havent even used 9 yet and i have like 130 albums on there...

Thanks Magik...its a big dilemma; noone likes to buy a piece of gear that has a hidden shortcoming...

i use an iPod myself. just seems like there more on the market for iPod. i think i may get one of the newer ones soon even though there is nothing wrong with the one i got. it would just be nice to have the video function if i wanted.

I've been kicking this around myself, but I want the Ipod so I can use it on my car, in addition to when I just want some tunes. Hmm maybe if the cost is right maybe I can get a video/mp3 player for running around and then a cheapo Ipod for the car. I wonder if it'd break even...

i admit it is, but i would never get another non flash memory mp3 player again...ive had 2 ipods (one which was used and one which i bought new) and a rio which was new that had hard drives, and ive had problems with them skipping while i jog, or the HD failing (rio)...so for a flash ipod with a nice colorful screen, and a kick ass web browser it was worth the $$$, but ill say if it somethin u have to decide on if its worth the price then it isnt somethin for you... i saw it, liked it, tried it out, and then bought it.

Yeah, brown Zunes have been $100 (or less) all week online (http://fatwallet.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=27828647/no_zip=1) - Picked mine up at Circuit City while I was visiting my parents, but they decided to hold it as an xmas gift, d'oh! I'll have my thoughts on the Zune after the 25th.

Anyway, $79 is at least $10 cheaper than any others I've seen, that's an awesome deal!

iPod > Zune.

I've owned my video Ipod for a couple years now. Still working fine even with heavy use, but I think my next model will be a Zune.

This freaking thing is cool as hell

I own the 1st gen nano. I would'nt mind upgrading to the new one. I like the new video function on the nano.
My friend owns a Zune and he told me when you transfer songs from another Zune owner, it only lasts for a few days. I don't know if this is true but thats what he told me.

Nvm. I say check out the samsung YP-P2 player. Has touchscreen and FM transmitter and all these other things :lol:
