We got any EverQuest players on this forum? (besides me, that is)

Dark Ages of Camelot here. All that PvE in Everquest just isn't for me, and it's a little dated.

Was really into PlanetSide for a bit... it's just that I can't justify paying fees for an online game.

i used to be an officer in legacy of steel on the nameless server, but that's a few years past now...good god that game took over my life for a while

If you find ones you really like and play regularly it's pretty cheap entertainment. It's cheaper than going to the movies once a month.

I play a 65 ranger on CT. But I've been playing with the 8 instead of EQ lately. Also messed around with SWG, (was in Beta) great graphics but no real content yet and still a lot of bugs.

Alb/Perc is my main server but I dabble on other servers. If you ever want to try alb on perc give me a holler and I can give you a head start :) I play an armsman mostly with a couple other 50s, and I'm GM of Mark of Kings, one of the older guilds on the server.

Bah, I have albs on other servers, started on Lanc with an armsman - didnt make 50 before I realised that was the wrong server to be an alb on :) My other albs are on pellinor - still no 50's in alb tho.

Once I get my bard to 50 thats it for leveling unless something comes along thats realy great. I dont Powerlevel, dont agree with it, but xping sucks. I'll stick to my Hero/druid ).

I played the trial for a while but then cancelled, never really got into it properly. But the Pocket PC version is quite good fun in idle moments. :)

The RPG I've played the most is the Baldur's Gate series. Lots of fun to be had there... I'm mainly an FPS type though.

No Everquest for me- I have enough problems running my own MUD as it is. Now, Diablo II- that's a different story. And we're buying new computers this spring so we can play World of Warcraft as soon as it comes out. THAT is going to kick ass. Anyone want to join my army and take over the world?

I'm still a Diablo II player myself... Only non-expansion and casual though. I've also been looking into World of Warcraft too, looks pretty good. Elara whats your act? Maybe we can play sometime. Mine is the same as my forum handle. J (one) m b (zero) x 9 9

I used to play Everquest, Ultima Online (My favorite) and also tried Shadowbane, DAoC, Anarchy Online and Asheron's Call.

Ultima Online is the only game that was any fun, and it has the worst graphics. It's probably because you actually fight other people instead of monster bashing all day long. But UO was ruined when they patched it to death.

I now play America's Army and Starcraft BW.... best games I have right now. I ordered Halo just yesterday so I should have that tomorrow as well.

I played PLanetside during beta and the first 3-4 months but got bored with the lack of updates, the very anoying bugs, and finally the fact that the group I chose that was the un-popular one kept getting weapons borked so it was pretty pointless. Add to the fact a ton of people got bored with it too and blah.

Although I hear platoons FINALLY got put in so I might take a look in a few months and maybe take it up again if there's anything that interests me.

I like PPC version as well. It is well-suited for daily commute.

are you saying you still play? a few years ago, we made our own private server for a weekly lan party style session. It got old again after a few months

Use to Everquest for a long time , then I went to Dark ages of Camelot (made a shadowblade /rogue) then palyed AC 2 for a like a week then went back t o Dark Ages

Yeah, Level cap was just raised to 90 so on the grind for that now. They've improved the solo ability for all classes in it a lot

If you don't have a job and want to feel like you have one, joining a raiding guild in EQ is for you. Otherwise, look into WoW, or just avoid MMOs altogether.

Former magician from Drinal. With my mana robe I did horrific damage all day long. Just don't ask me for a mod rod unless you want to fish it out of your ass.

I joined that game at launch and it was just a long slow train wreck from that point, it went from bad to worse to WTF are they doing? Worst game ever, I can't believe how badly SOE screwed that one up.

I tried raiding, and enjoyed it. but i was able to find a balance between Life and Games. As i didnt start playing until my child was sleeping! So she was never ignored, housework was never ignored. but that was when she would sleep early, Nows she 6, i no longer raid, and i have a full time job. Now i just play to have fun every once in a while.

Star Wars Galaxies was alright at the start, until they had their big patch that turned the whole game upside down. Then it went down like John Candy in a mini-skirt trying to roller skate on ice
