I am doing a Business Plan for my entrepreneurship class and I need some help! I need some stats and facts reguarding the aftermarket automotive industry and how its booming. I cant seem to find anything, so if you know of a site or anything please send me a link to it!!

Man, good luck. It may be booming but it's also largely a cottage industry. Not many large mfgrs. other than the OEM aftermarket, which is rather limited in many cases. You may have to do a lot of legwork to pull those figures together.

Good luck, I've done a couple of real business plans and it's literally months of work, even when you have the numbers handy.

I know. It sucks. We only have to do a basic business plan and to be honest, it sucks real bad right now!! Its due next monday, so I have been doing little by little everyday. I just know the financials are going to suck.

What do you mean a cottage industry? A large number of small shops?

If you have any info about this topic.....can you share please?

Exactly.

Take the Mazdaspeed line, for instance. Most of those parts are all made under license by different manufacturers. The company that makes the flywheels is not the same company that makes exhausts. And these days, a lot of those companies are overseas. Good luck getting accurate numbers for those sales.
