Since my 5 yr old was 2 1/2 he has said he wants to design and build Ferrari's one day. Yes, he's very smart, and knows what that means. Well this weekend he got his dream ride. That's him in the passenger seat. What you can't see is his Ferrari F1 shirt that he's wearing. He says he's going to build one for me when he does it. Go, son, go!!!! I guess all this is genetic.
And my gosh, what an incredible car that is!!! The sound is so perfect!!!

I just got my first ride in a Ferrari 348challenge car around around Mosport race track(and I'm alot older then your son) and it was mind numbing.
Looks like your son's got the right idea ;)

How'd you manage to get to take a spin in a Ferrari?
No matter how you got it you and your son are very lucky.

GREAT FERRARI
However i rather have 8 rx8 for the same price , one for everyday of the week , and then some , maybe start a rx8 car rental bussiness .
MONEY MONEY MONEY and plenty of honey.
I traded my 308 in for a RX-8
the 360's are great until.....
the f-1 locks up,
you have to replace the clutch after 3000 miles for $5000
You have to have the timing belts replaced after 3 years or 30,000 miles for $5000
Have a major service (engine out) for $6000
etc...etc...etc

Rent one! There are rental companies that specialise in supercars in most larger cities over here at least. Expect to pay a couple of hundred dollars, pounds, whatever per day but worth doing at least once I say. :)
Actually we were thinking of renting a little Ferrari fleet on a recent work trip because we had a pile of per-diem expenses left over at the end, never did get around to it though...
The 360 Modena Spider is a very sweet car indeed! Pictures don't do the car justice.
But according to Matt, owning a Ferrari isn't all that it's cracked up to be.
You have to change parts alot more often than other cars. I guess that's the price you pay for having such an exotic car!
I personally would want to own an F50. The only real Ferrari I would ever want...
Although if they offered me the 360 Spider I wouldn't reject it... ;)
Later,
P.S. I would still keep my FD just in case the Ferrari wouldn't work out the way I wanted it to.... :D

I met the owner at my fitness club while drooling over his car. Turns out he's a really great person and his daughter lives in my neighborhood. So I told him about my son's goal in life and he said he would love to take him for a ride. BTW, I got a ride too. Woof!!!:D
