It's coming out tommorow. Mines is already pre paid for my PS3. Anyone else planning on picking it up?

im not really into games anymore but this and all need for speed usually get me hooked for a few weeks, i might dust off the ps3 for this one, looks preety fun, and that comercial for assasain's creed looks interesting aswell :-)

I have every NFS, going back to PS1. So I won't miss out on this one..

I was thinking about getting it too, I played the demo and it's pretty sweet. Shifting is so different though. Instead of using the R1/L1 buttons, you use the right analog stick (up and down) to shift. It took a few minutes to get used to it, but it was fun. I think I'm going to head toward Assassin's Creed first, though.

NFS died after NFS 3. I will say Underground 1 was pretty cool, but i dont know if the games got lamer, or if i just started to have different tastes.

i actually enjoyed NFS Carbon...have you guys seen any of the videos on youtube of it? the FD actually sounds like a rotary. They actually did a good job on the RX8 for carbon.

Well lets be honest an RX-7 is faster than an RX-8.

However the tier system was pretty messed up. I mean a supra doesn't outclass an RX-7 (but it did in the game).

As for ProStreet, i played the demo on a PC with a MOMO racing wheel, and damn it sucked. There was a lag effect on the PC version. I believe it comes from adjustments for a keyboard, when you press a key for turning you dont want it to be instantly full turn. NFS solves this with an accellerated turn. However the same accelleration is there when turning with the wheel so you do a turn in, and first nothing happens and then gradually your wheels on the car adjust to the angle of the steering wheel. At which point you have turned further since the car didnt turn.

Result: Fishtailing for nothing and impossible counter steer.

Im skeptical towards the game.

Yea.. It was considered a Tier 1, so it sucked. I wish it would of rolled with the big boys after tune ups.. But nah..

I rolled it up all the way until the lambos and the cudas came out, I drove it all the way up there with the supras and stuff, you can still do drift matches with it and stuff, but for circuits.......you get butt raped

Hmm.. I just played NFS: Pro Street the demo.. I don't think the 8 is in this game.. Well, I hope it is..

As for the RX-8 in Carbon, it was good for those canyon races..

There is no MR2 in the game.

Tuner game without an MR2 = fail!!!

its not a tuner game, its an attempt from EA to try to help with the counter-street racing agenda of America

unfortunately, some of the old tuner cars were deemed "street racer cars" and are kickd out of the game, now they can't kick em all out because then there would be no good cars left, they just kick the engine swapping cars out,

note that most hondas and acuras are butt raped out of the game because there are too many ricers on the road and EA doesn't want to be "supporting or encouraging" street racing

EA sucks.

From their Hockey to racing games. It just seems they do everything half-arsed, but I think they just try to do to much in so little time.

the one thing that I LOVE about those games are the sound effects, from the turbo's, superchargers sound like superchargers, every sound is perfect.

I'll be picking it up tomorrow also! I hope it does better good, or I'll be severly disapointed like I was with Juiced 2

LOL, torrent only, sorry. Played Carbon, thought it was really stupid (fastest way to brake was to downshift and let it redline, and let the speed drop instantly.)

It's actually a really good game. I just finished the Chicago Race. I'm about to do Willow Springs right now, I also got a hold of an RX-8 already :) All in all, it's pretty good, the only down side to the game is that it takes up MASSIVE RESOURCES on my computer!

IMO this game is going to suck. Not as bad as NFS Carbon but it will. The best NFS is Most Wanted. I played the demo and the events seem stupid, easy, and boring. I want a NFS Most Wanted 2.

This game isn't as fun as the other titles but it's still good. :)
I prefer the Need for Speed Underground series, now those were fun. :)

I've beaten all of the bosses, and I'm just going through dominating all the levels now. I really enjoyed this one, So much better than Carbon. Some of the events I actually had to try. I will play again, zonda ftw, 9.9 1/2 mile.

I have a dodge challenger R/T that does 1/2 mile in 10.25 seconds, and I flipped the bitch hitting 249 mph............

I dont have too much time playing either DEED! I just did my first drifting events. I did also do a run with my Subbie & got a 13.2 sec 1/2 miles.. Zonda.. psssh!
